Everest base camp Trek is the dream destination of all adventure lovers, trekkers, and climbers from all around the world. The reason behind becoming a dream destination by its magnificent sceneries and the world highest mountain Mt.Everest which stand 8,848 m above the sea level, situated at the northeast part from Kathmandu, Nepal. Everest is known as the Sagarmatha in Nepali and Chomolungma in Tibet. Mighty Everest is also the god of the Sherpas, Nepali and Tibetan people so before climbing the Everest they pray together for the successful trip to top of the world Everest.
Many travelers are searching for the Detail cost and itinerary for Everest base Camp trekking tour but they don’t gather the information they need so we present you here all detail. Through this blog we provide you the all the information that means the detail itinerary for the Everest base Camp Day to day (From arriving to departure).
Arrival day at Kathmandu international airport of 1350 m. Kathmandu is known as the temple city, there are many historical areas and the world heritage sites inside the Kathmandu valley. After Arriving at Kathmandu international airport representative of Life Himalaya Trekking will pick you up and take you to the respective hotel.
Second day after arriving at Kathmandu you’ll fly early morning to the Lukla from Kathmandu international airport. 15 Kg is the limit of your luggage if you bring more than 15 kg you have to pay 1 US$ per kg. After reaching Lukla, your trek will initially starts that means you trek from Lukla to Phakding. During the trek to Phakding you will pass through the suspension bridges, green landscapes, view of the snow-capped peaks, the Mani Stone (Prayer Stone). After 3-4 hours walk you’ll reach Phakding where you can get lodges for staying.
Today you’ll move for the Namche bazzar also known as the capital of the Sherpa people. Along the way you’ll find the locals, other trekkers, porters and yaks. You’ll find the prayer wheels that is dedicated to Buddha. Today you will walk through the popular Hilary Bridge capturing the mesmerizing views of the green valley and snowcapped peaks. Slowly and gradually climbing the uphill your route take you to the Namche bazar. Where you can have all kinds of the facilities according to your budget.
You’ll get tired of walking 2 days so, today is the acclimation day. During the day you’ll visit the different old monasteries at Thame, Hilary museum from where you can view the different mighty peaks like Mt.Everest, Mt.Amadablam and many other. Trekkers are climb up to the Everest view hotel for the lunch from where you can view mesmerizing view of the Mt.Everst if they afford. After sightseeing at Namche you can enjoy late night at bar and shopping at the Tibetan market. In Namche you can have the all the facilities in the hotel. Every Saturday is the main shopping day for the Sherpas. The market stuffs are transported d by the Sherpa porters and the yaks. Yaks are the main transportation in the Himalayan regions. Rest over night at Namche.
Early morning after having breakfast we will make Tengboche monastery as our destination for today. After moving up to the high altitude we cannot walk fast as low altitude so we slowly and gradually climb up to the Tengboche monastery. During the trek for Tengboche you will pass by the high hills, beautiful landscapes and capturing the best views of the mountains of Everest region. Tengboche monastery is the oldest monastery build in 1916 by lama Gulu. The art and the painting of this monastery is incredible. Tengboche is the main holy place for the Tibetan people and Sherpa people. This Monastery is also the main trekking destination for the Mani Rimdu festival. This day we stay at lodge from where you can view the Mt.Everest, Amadablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Cholachhe, Khumbuchhe, etc.
6th day of the trek end at the Dingboche. After breakfast you’ll walk for the Dingboche; the Himalayan valley. Dingboche is surrounded by the mighty mountain of the Everest regions like Amadablam, Aphulapcha pass, island peak, Lhotse shar, Lothse, South side of Everest, lobuche, cholachhe, Nuptse, Nagarjun Hill etc. During the Trek to Dengboche you’ll pass through the Himalayan River, snow paths, meeting the yaks, porters and other trekkers. Pangboche is another beautiful village where you can find restaurants for launch, old monasteries and lodges. After passing Pangboche the trail takes you all the way under the lap of the Amadablam. After climbing and straight walking you in the lap of the Himalayas you’ll reach to the Dengboche. Stay overnight at Dengboche.
Today is the second acclamation day of trek to Everest base camp. You will rest one day at Dingboche situated at the altitude of 4630 m from the sea level. Throughout this day you can hike to the hike points for viewing the sun rise and sun set above the Himalayas and then back to the lodge. You can also go for sightseeing around the Dingboche.
Your 8th day of trek will be end at Lobuche of altitude 4,940 m. Today early morning you will start your trek from Dingboche. During the way to Lobuche you’ll pass through the small Mountain valley capturing the snowcapped landscapes the different enchanting views of Different highest Himalayas. During walking the route gift you the small Himalayan River, yaks, the Himalayan sheep, and magnificent views of the Himalaya panorama including, Pumori, Nuptse, Lobuche etc. You can choose lodges by yourself and night stay at Lobuche.
Finally the day of reaching to your dream destination Everest Base Camp. It take 6-7 hour walk to reach Everest base camp. There are no any hotels at Everest base Camp so you have leave your bags and other stuffs at the Gorakshep. After resting sometime you’ll walk for the Everest base camp, its takes 3-4 hours to reach and return back to Gorakshep. You can also stay in tent at Base Camp but it’s better to stay in the Lodges for your health safety. During the walk to Everest base camp you’ll pass through the massive Khumbu ice fall and many glaciers. From EBC you can see the different massive mountains like Lhotse, Pumori, Everest, Nuptse, Khumbutse, Tibetan mountain range and much more. From Gorak shep you can view spectacular amazing views of galaxy above the Mt. Everest.

Today is the starting day of back from the Everest base camp. Today you’ll walk of 6-7 hour to reach the destination Pheriche. Early morning you can hike up to the Kalapathar for the viewing the glimpse of the sunrise over the incredible Mountain panoramas. After watching the sunrise then back to the Gorak shep and have breakfast. After breakfast, you’ll start your journey to the Pheriche. Along the way you will meet other fellow trekkers their guides and porters, yaks and the local Sherpas. Throughout the trek, Memorial Park, Thukla pass, Lobuche Pass, Italian camp, Khumbu glacier and Pheriche valley are the main beauty of this route. During the trek to Pherihe you can grab the magnificent views of the Mount Everest, Lobuche, Pumori, Amadablam, Cholatse, Thamserku, and many other giant peaks. You’ll stay overnight at Pheriche village.
11th day of our trip is to trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazar. It takes 6-7 hours to reach Namche Bazar from Pheriche. During the trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazar you can explore Himalayan natural beauties. During the trekking you’ll pass by watching the mesmerizing views of the mountain peaks from Everest region. The best part of this day trek is it’s not hard as other day. There is less number of ups and down so this day trek is quite easy than the other day trekking. If we reach Saturday at the Namche bazar there is open a big market of Sherpa’s. Night satay at Namche Bazar.
This is the last day of your Everest base camp trekking. During the trek from Namche to Lukla you will pass by the big Mani stone, old Buddhist monasteries, Monjo, Himalayan River, different suspension bridges including the Hilary suspension bridge, local houses etc. The walk slow walk of 5-6 hours you’ll reach to the Lukla. The main attraction of trek to Lukla form Namche is that the views of the different hilly landscapes, green forests, views of different mountain like Mt.Everest , Amadablam and much more. After reaching at Lukla you can have a chill party of successful trip to Everest base camp. Many trekkers celebrate last day of trek at Lukla.
Today you’ll fly back to the Kathmandu with our guide. It takes 35 minutes to reach Kathmandu from Lukla. After reaching at Kathmandu international airport our guide will take you to the respective hotel. After having some rest you can move around Thamel for shopping. In the evening we will take you to the most famous restaurant in the town for Farewell dinner. In dinner we will hear feedback from you and we give you an achievement certificate of the Everest base camp trekking. You can also discuss about the future plans for being a group leader and if you want then we can be as a business partner for the future.
Your last day in Nepal. After having breakfast representative of Life Himalaya Trekking company will take you to the Kathmandu international airport.
