Amadablam Base Camp Trek - Essential Information

Ama Dablam Trek Route

Amadablam base camp trek begins with a short and scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. After arrival at Lukla, our trekking journey begins, passing through the beautiful forest of Rhododendron and Sherpa village up to Namche Bazaar via Phakding. We ascend through the trekking trail of the Everest region passing through some established and colored villages of Sherpa people.

At Namche Bazaar on the route, we take one day enough acclimatization at a lower altitude, then head for the Pangboche for the surreal view of the Himalayas. The next day early morning we ascend from Pangboche to the Ama Dablam base camp (4,500m), away from the popular trail to savor the Himalayas.

From the base camp of Mt. Ama Dablam, we can enjoy spectacular 360-degree mountain panoramic views of distinctive peaks and high above Mt. Lhotse-Nuptse massif.

Returning from the vicinity of the Himalayas, we shall explore the authentic lifestyle of the Sherpa community of Khumjung village and explore the rich cultural heritage, and lifestyles of Khumbu people at Namche Bazaar. After the end at Lukla, we back to the capital city Kathmandu and enjoy the world heritage sites.

We commence this as a fascinating trek and enjoy the exploration of some of the best natural sightseeing and cultural touch of Nepal.

Although Everest Base Camp is the main highlight for many of the trekkers, the trip to Ama Dablam base camp leaves a strong impression on many trekkers. As per Life Himalayas Trekking Pvt. The itinerary could be changed or modified as per your requirements, interest, and length of your holiday. Weather, politics, transportation, and other disturbing factor are the main reason to make changes in itineraries that are beyond our control.

So, the guide or leader will provide you with the best alternative during your trek. The price of the trip will be according to the standard of hotel, group size, duration, and date of travel for the tailor-made program.

Regarding flight in the mountain region

Mostly twin otter is the most common means of air transportation in the Nepalese sky and during flight in the Himalayan region of Nepal, the flight schedule is canceled and change from time to time due to poor visibility, weather condition, and many other technical problems.

In such a case, we would charter a helicopter for our guests regarding the schedule of their international flight and for the different problems that arise in the trek. The charter cost should be paid at the head office of Tourist link Trek at Thamel and later on, you can claim with your travel insurance.

As per Nepal Civil aviation rules, the helicopter will fly, if the visibility is up to 1500m and visibility should be 5000m for flying Twin Otter in Nepalese sky.

I completed the Manaslu Circuit with Saugat and Aunil, and it was an absolutely incredible experience! The trek was breathtaking, the organization was perfect, and the views were simply stunning. Thanks to Life Himalaya Trekking, my husband and I were able to realize a dream. From the moment of organizing from Italy, Shiba proved to be extremely available and quick in communications. And, once here, we were able to immediately verify how efficient the entire team that makes up the company is. We were extremely satisfied with our Everest Base Camp trek with Life Himalaya Trekking. From the moment we were picked up at the airport, everything was organized perfectly. Due to weather conditions, the company arranged a helicopter flight for us, which made the start of our adventure even more special. Our guide, Rabin, was exceptional. He was kind, caring, and looked after us every step of the way. Whenever we felt unwell, he made sure we were comfortable and helped us recover. His knowledge of the mountains, careful approach to acclimatization, and genuine care for our well-being allowed us to continue the journey safely. I had a wonderful time trekking EBC. Birsha Rai was an awesome guide he made sure I had anything I needed. He made sure my accommodations were good and I had plenty of water and snacks for the trek. Dhan Kajl was my porter and he took extra care of my things my bag was always clean and dry when delivered to my room. He even carried my day pack the last stretch of EBC trek. Life Himalayan took care of me from the moment I landed and was without one bag to making sure I made all my helicopter connections. Someone was there every step of the way. Life Himalaya Trekking gave us an amazing experience! We had the most wonderful guide, Jal Tamang. Not only did he provide amazing conversation, high spirits, and tons of great information about the Everest region, he went above and beyond when a member of our party got altitude sickness. He worked tirelessly to bring food & water to them during their hospital stay, but also coordinated their time in Lukla after they had had to descend. I still made it to Base Camp, and throughout our journey he made the entire experience unforgettable. The accommodations were also truly top notch, with the earlier tea houses offering hot showers, readily available charging, and even heating pads under the mattresses. What a beautiful experience! Life Himalaya trekking and their team are truly great. Our guide Rabin Ray is a mountain professional. He took great care of us throughout the journey.
