Drive to Nayapul and trek to Ghandruk
Today, our first day of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek from Pokhara starts after breakfast in the hotel, and then we will drive to Nayapul. We will drive through green hills and bumpy roads, which takes around 2 hours. After reaching Nayapul, we head towards Ghandruk. We walk down a flat and easy walk to Birethanti (1,025m). Next, we’ll cross the Modi River and turn right towards Ghandruk village, with a picturesque Syauli Bazaar.
We’ll ascend to Kimche, where the terrain becomes flatter and slopes uphill until we reach Ghandruk village. You have to walk through stone stairways that take you through terraced fields, beautiful nature, and villages. Today, you have to walk approximately six to seven hours to reach Ghandruk. Upon reaching Ghandruk, you will be welcomed by the majestic Annapurna South, Fishtail, Hiunchuli, and beautiful landscapes.

Trek from Ghandruk to Sinuwa
We will wake up early in the morning with a breathtaking view of snowy peaks and verdant greenery surrounding Ghandruk. We will start our trek with a quite demanding trail due to constant ascents and descents, which takes us to Komrong Danda (2100 m). Further, we will start to climb the steep stone stairs. As we walk ahead, we will set a path toward Taglung and again ascend the stone staircase leading to Chhomrong village.
After some rest at Chhomrong village, we will walk further to Sinuwa. To reach Sinuwa village, the trail is somehow difficult. We will start our walk with the descending steps and walk through the suspension bridge. After that, we will walk a steep climb again, crossing Tiliche and Bhanuwa villages.
Some of you might find the last approach to Sinuwa a little bit hard for today. You will have to ascend a steep climb with your backpack. After six to seven hours of walking, we will finally reach Sinuwa.

Trek from Sinuwa to Deurali
The route from Sinuwa passes through dense and beautiful forests. It’s challenging to walk between Bamboo and the Himalayas. The whole way is much uphill, and the air gets considerably thinner.
Soon after leaving the Himalayas, you will be in the middle of an amazing valley. You feel as though you are on another planet as huge ranges of mountains surround you.
You gradually walk across the rocky landscape and follow an emerald-green river through a valley. Upon arriving at Deurali, the atmosphere is wonderful. You’d likely describe the experience as delightful if you were not so breathless!

Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp via Machhapuchhre Base Camp
This day will be the most challenging but amazing day of the Annapurna base camp trek from Pokhara. It is extremely advisable to begin walking as soon as possible. It is as mentally as it is physically demanding, so take breaks as needed and maintain your positive attitude.
The ascent on the trek begins in Deurali and continues until you reach Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). If there is a lot of snow, walking might be difficult. It is a gentle elevation; there are no stairs involved; it is not as steep as it was in the prior days.
Between Deurali and Annapurna Base Camp, there is just one spot to stop — Machapuchhre Base Camp (MBC). With each step, we could see more and more of the Annapurna Sanctuary and Machapuchare in the distance.
Machapuchre Base Camp is a good place to pause and enjoy. We will eventually arrive at Annapurna Base Camp after several hours of hike. We move to the viewpoint (300m/flat) to take in the spectacular views of Annapurna’s almost vertical south face above the sanctuary.

Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo.
After the early morning breakfast, you will walk back the same route to the Bamboo. You will have to cross the Machhapuchre Base Camp, Deurali, Himalaya, to reach the Bamboo. Today, you will have to descend steeply to reach your destination. You will be walking around 5-6 hours to reach Bamboo.

Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda
We will take the Sinuwa route and ascend the steep stairs until you reach the checkpoint. You will need around 45 minutes to reach here. Then, it will take you another 45 minutes to reach Sinuwa. After a challenging hour-long hike to Chomrung Khola from Sinuwa, there is a steep 45-minute trek to Chomrung.
From Chomrong, follow the path that ascends to the fork where the Jhinu Danda signpost is located. Descending the steep slopes, you will reach Jhinu Danda in 1.5–2 hours.

Trek from Jhinu Danda to Nayapul then drive back to Pokhara
You may reach the bridge at Kimrong Khola in approximately 30 minutes by following the route that descends sharply from Jhinu. Take the way to the left after passing the bridge.
Follow the route until you reach Landruk on your left. You will arrive at the small settlement after traveling this winding path for around 20 minutes. From here, descend the stone steps for approximately 20 minutes to reach Kalchane. There are a few small tea shops in this area.
From here, we will be ascending the trail towards Ghandruk. You will then take the trail to Nayapul in about 45 minutes. Your Annapurna Base Camp trek from Pokhara will come to an end at this point. We will then transfer you to Pokhara, which takes around 2 hours.
