Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

Today is the day one of this wonderful trip which starts with your arrival at Tribhuvan International airport, Kathmandu. Life Himalaya representative will welcome and receive you at the airport and transfer to your respective hotel.Then you will meet your trek guide and had some trip briefing & discussion. Fly to Lukla & trek to Phakding

Lukla airportMorning starts with short scenic flight to Lukla with amazing views of mountain range. On reaching Lukla we meet our porters & had a short refreshment break. We start our first day walk through farm villages, a moderate walk with few short ups overlooking beautiful scenery along the route to Phakding located by Dudh Koshi River. Overnight stay at tea-house in Phakding.

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar 

After a scenic morning breakfast, our walk continues crossing bridges over Dudh Koshi River passing several interesting villages of Toc-Toc, Bhenkar and Monjo and arrive at Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate. From here on the river bed for few hours and walk uphill through suspension bridge  to enter Namche Bazaar- the Sherpa’s capital. At Namche there is a facilities of good restaurant, pubs, cyber café, post office, and banks. Overnight stay at tea-house in Namche Bazaar.

Rest & Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar and excursion

View-From-Namche-BazarToday is an ideal and perfect place for rest with acclimatization day. Our morning starts with a short hike to Everest View Hotel (Syangboche) or walk up on top a hill of Namche for superb views of Everest, Ama Dablam and adjoining peaks. Also you will visit the museum and excursion over the Namche Bazaar. Overnight stay at tea-house in Namche Bazaar.

Trek from Namche to Khumjung

After a pleasant stop at Namche, morning walk leads above towards Syangboche. Then after we take a steep climb following the path to Khunde and Khumjung, the largest Sherpa villages in the Khumbu area. We slowly walk towards Khunde village situated on the same glacial valley beneath holy Mt. Khumbila. After a visit of Khunde hospital funded by Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation; we walk to Khumjung village. Reaching Khumjung village, we visit school built by Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation and also visit Khumjung monastery one of the oldest of this region, and the only place where you witness Scalp believed to be of mysterious Yeti. Overnight stay at tea-house in Khumjung.

Trek from Khumjung to Tengboche 

Adventure Everest Panorama, From Khumjung, our morning walk on gradual & scenic path with downhill to Imjatse River at Phunge-Tenga. Then uphill through rhododendron, pines, firs tree forest with views of snow-capped peaks towards Tengboche.. On reaching Tengboche, we visit famous & oldest Buddhist monastery of Everest region. It is a perfect spot for magnificent panorama of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Kangtenga, Thamasarku, Kwande and majestic Amadablam. Overnight stay at tea-house in Tengboche.

Trek from Tengboche to Monjo

Tengboche Monastery: the biggest in the Everest regionAfter a great time around beautiful Tengboche Monastery area, we descend to Imjatse River and then with steep climb for an hour to Sanasa. From here on gradual winding path with few short ups and downs to Namche Bazaar. After a short break here we descend to Dudh Koshi river valley and continue towards Monjo for overnight stop. Overnight stay at tea-house in Monjo.

Trek from Monjo to Lukla 

Dangerous lukla airportOur morning starts with a short walk towards beautiful village of Phakding. Then we passes through a nice pleasant trail towards Lukla- the trek ending point. We enjoy beautiful landscape, nature, traditional Sherpa villages, prayers flags until our trek ends to Lukla. On reaching Lukla, we celebrate last night dinner at heartland of Everest with fellow trekkers and our porters. Overnight stay at tea-house in Lukla.

Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

From Lukla, we take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu with amazing views of mountains below our flight . At Kathmandu domestic airport our representative will be stand by to transfers you back to respective hotels. Then rest of the day is free for your leisure periods. Overnight stay at 3 star rated hotel in Kathmandu.

Free and easy day at Kathmandu & sightseeing tour

We reserve this day in Kathmandu as spare day in case of flight delay and cancellation in Lukla, due to bad weather which might happen sometimes. As the Himalayan weather can be unpredictable so this day is reserved day. Everest Tengboche Monastery Trek - Essential Information

Everest Tengboche Monastery trek starts from Kathmandu with a sweeping mountain flight towards the gateway of the Everest region,

Lukla. From Lukla, our walks lead through beautiful landscape & Dudh Koshi River towards the popular Sherpa village of Phakding. Then we follow a scenic trail uphill to Monjo and Jorsale via Sagarmatha National Park to reach Namche Bazaar.
