Overview of Langtang Expedition

Langtang expedition  is magnificently situated in the Langtang region of Nepal inside Langtang national park. This mountain is rising to 7,234m high and one of the well-known 7,000 meters peak on the center north of Nepal, a head of Langtang village. Langtang Valley is situated directly north of Kathmandu in the Central Himalayan Region. This area was declared a National Park in 1976 and remains the second largest Park in Nepal, covering 1710 sq.km.

Langtang peak located Mountainous terrain south of Nepal-Tibet (China) border. The Langtang Expedition offers to climbers a trail that purely comprises of metamorphic rocks and its garnet-bearing amphibolies are great for rock climbing. The Langtang Expedition offers travelers an opportunity to treat themselves to the awesome spectacle of the Ganesh Himal. The Langtang Expedition has often been filled with tales of the Yeti’s sightings and then there is the marvelous Lake Gosaikunda and its environs.

Langtang Expedition trekking Route

The climb begins after a wonderful trek up to Kyangin Gompa in the Langtang Valley, from Kyangin the route to the Base Camp leads to the moraine and crossing one of the main source of Trisuli River as you reach the Base Camp after a 3-4 hours walk from Kyangin gompa.

The climb is technical includes ice and rock climbing in most of the places till you reach the summit, with the grand view of the nearby peaks and a good close up view of the Tibetan plateau, as this range lies at the rim of the border of Tibet also.

Today is the day of your arrival. We will pick you up from the airport and assist you to the hotel. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Today is the day for sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. We will visit the places of cultural and historical importance and visit the world heritage sites like Pashupatinath, Swyambhunath, Bouddhanath, Bhaktapur durbar square etc. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Today is the preparation day. We meet the guide and other crew members and be prepared for the expedition. The briefing of the safety precautions and adaptation techniques are taught and trained. And the use of all safety and expedition gears are explained.

Today we drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1460m). The way to Syabrubesi is full of natural beauty and breathtaking landscape. Stay overnight at Guesthouse in Syabrubesi.

Today we trek up the Langtang Valley trekking route passing through many small villages, fields, river and forest to reach Lama Hotel (2340m). Stay overnight at Guest House.

Today passing through many villages, forest, pasture, mountain views and rivers, we climb up the rocky trail to finally reach the cultural Langtang Village (3330m). Stay overnight at Guest house.

After few days of trekking today is much needed rest and acclimatization day at Langtang Village. We visit and explore the places and culture around Langtang village. Stay overnight at guest house.

Today we trek up the route through the views of mountain all around and beautiful landscape passing forest, river and rocky trail to reach Kyangin Gompa (3730m). Stay overnight at Guest house.

Today is rest, exploration, acclimatization and preparation day at Kyangin Gompa. We explore the places around, adapt in the changing climate and atmosphere and prepare ourselves for expedition. Stay overnight at Guest House.

Today we trek up the route through the stunning view of Langtang mountain series and rough trail to reach Langtang Base Camp. Stay overnight at tented camp.

11-30

These days we make the expedition to the top of Mt. Langtang. We reach the top of the peak at the height of 7234m from the sea level. We use expedition gears and expert climbers to make our way onto the top of the Langtang. Trekking up through the thin air to finally reach the top will provide you the feeling of glory and heavenly experience. After the successful expedition we climb down the Langtang to reach Langtang Base Camp.

We follow the same route we trekked up to reach the village down to Kyangin Gompa. We enjoy the panoramic view of the mountain we expedited on the route. Stay overnight at Guest House.

Today we follow the Langtang trekking route down through scenic and cultural village to reach Lama Hotel. Stay overnight at guest House.

Continuing ascend down the route we finally make our way to the starting point of our trek, Syabrubesi. Stay overnight at Guest House.

Today leaving all the mountains and all those cultural village behind we drive back to Kathmandu by Bus.

Today is your free day at Kathmandu. You can hang around tourist hubs in Kathmandu and go for last hour shopping. Stay overnight at Guest House.

Today is your departure day. We will assist you to the airport prior to your flight.
