Overview of Hinku Valley and Mera Peak Climbing
The Hinku Valley and Mera Peak Climbing Expedition (6,476m) is an adventurous journey to the highest trekking peak in Nepal. The peak climaxes at 6,467m, and the route consists of Rhododendron Forests, alpine meadows, massive mountain ranges, and a thrilling cultural value. To learn more about Sherpa culture and way of life, you'll visit the Hongu and Hinku Valleys. The summit of Mera Peak is famous for its scenic and panoramic views.
The viewpoint gives you glances at Mount Kanchenjunga, Kumbakarna, Makalu, Lhotse, Nuptse, Everest, Cho-Oyu, Gauri Shankar, and many peaks in the surroundings. The walks and climbs are 5-8 hours a day, with some exceptions. The climbs aren’t technical, so there isn’t a need for prior mountaineering experience. Our guides will provide excellent briefings and tutorials for your adventure. This climbing package grants you a secluded and adventurous trek in Nepal.
The trekking region is isolated and untouched, providing an excellent tranquil experience. There are occasional teahouses along the way, but the cultural habitats, religious shrines, and monasteries give an authentic and remote feel. Hinku Valley lies south of the Everest region and houses exotic trekking trails and wild alpine areas. It provides a true overall experience of the Himalayas.

Sightseeing and Tour around Kathmandu Valley
After breakfast, we’ll provide a guided tour around Kathmandu valley around some world heritage sites (UNESCO Certified). Later, we’ll travel to some sightseeing areas before a short briefing session about the trip. Rest overnight at the hotel.

Flight from Kathmandu Valley to Phaplu and Trek to Nuntala
We’ll travel on a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Phaplu. After some rest, we’ll start our trekking journey to the beautiful land of Phaplu. It is a beautiful mountainous area with some glances of mountain ranges. Rest overnight at a lodge in Nuntala.

Trek from Pangkongma to Narjing Dingma (2,650m)
After breakfast at Pangkongma, we’ll follow a steep incline toward Pangkongma La Pass. We will walk through Rhododendron Forests and awe-inspiring alpine lands. We’ll start descending towards the Hinku Khola River and follow another ascension to Narjing Dingma. Rest overnight.

Trek from Chalem Kharka to Khula Kharka
We’ll start by ascending across a snowy and rocky path to Chunbu Kharka. After some breaks and walking, we’ll reach Khula Kharka. It is a magnificent place with terraces and lakes. We’ll rest overnight and prepare to descend tomorrow.

Trek from Khula Kharka to Kothe
After breakfast, we’ll begin slowly descending to the village of Kothe. After some ups and downs, we’ll continue to a river that leads to Kothe via a wooden bridge. It is a rocky area with pine trees and incredible scenery. Rest overnight at Kothe.

Trek from Kothe to Tagnak
We’ll start walking from Kothe through a rocky and mountainous route to the beautiful village of Tagnak. We’ll encounter some yaks and other wilderness on our way there. We’ll rest at Tagnak overnight as we approach the summit of this trip.

Acclimatization and rest day at Tagnak glacier. Explore the sightseeing around and rest overnight.
We’ll rest and get familiar with the high altitude of Tagnak. We’ll rest overnight around the scenic views and sights of the glacier. Later in the day, we’ll go through some climbing drills and training to prepare for the summit.

Hike to the Mera Peak Summit and back to Khare
Today is the day we’ll summit the Mera Peak. We’ll start very early, walking for hours to reach the climax. We’ll see some peculiar ridges leading up to the summit as we prepare for our final climb. Upon reaching the top, we’ll see fantastic views of other mountain ranges. After abseiling the ridge, we’ll trek back to Khare and rest overnight.

Hinku Valley and Mera Peak Climbing - Essential Information
Information About Trekking Peaks in Nepal
Trekking Peaks give a two-fold experience of climbing and hiking. Climbing in the Himalayas is a fantastic experience as the adventure isn’t strenuous and technical. Climbing packages between 5500-6500m will provide an easy and fulfilling adventure. It doesn’t require prior mountaineering and climbing experience, as our guides will provide a fast and simple tutorial. Climbers keep track and navigate the paths of low-altitude peaks, so the trail is easy and convenient.
Difficulty of Hinku Valley and Mera Peak Climbing
The Mera Peak Climbing Expedition is a strenuous journey. It is rated an Alpine Grade PD (Slightly Difficult). You don’t require prior mountaineering experience, but it is a taxing climb. The trekking route is barely strenuous, but the ascents are slightly tricky. The technical rise of the final stretch makes it a formidable summit. Our climbing guides will provide sufficient information and training to summit Mera Peak. We advise you to bring a positive and strong mentality.

We provide, Mera Peak climbing guides who are exceptionally skilled and hold a government license. They will give you a short briefing before the trip and a short training session before the climb. They have been through all possible conditions and are local.
