Kathmandu/KathmanduIf you wish to indulge in a high Himalayan journey without leaving behind your comfort, then our Lobuche peak climbing with helicopter return expedition is the one made only for you.
In this expedition, Life Himalaya Trekking has brought together the ultimate thrill of high-altitude adventure along with the refined elegance and comfort of high-end accommodations, gourmet meals, and a luxurious helicopter ride back.
Thus, our Lobuche peak climbing with helicopter return expedition has achieved a perfect blend of rugged adventure and premium luxury, transforming the iconic Everest route into something extraordinary.
If you also like to achieve the victory over 6000 m Himalayan Peak in Nepal, if you want to exchange the long return walk for a private helicopter flight straight to Kathmandu, and if you also want to experience the top-tier luxury along the trail, then confirm your spot today on our Lobuche Peak climbing with helicopter return expedition.
As for the Lobuche Summit, it is the most rewarding peak located in the Khumbu region, very close to Lobuche Village within Sagarmatha National Park.
Its proximity to Mount Everest thus offers the direct massive views of Mount Everest (8,848.86 m), Makalu (8485 m), Lhotse (8516 m), Cho Oyu (8188 m), Ama Dablam (6812 m), Pumori (7161 m), Cholatse (6440 m), Nuptse (7861 m), and the Khumbu Glacier.
This peak has two different summits: Lobuche East (6119 m) and Lobuche West (6145 m). For our Lobuche peak climbing with helicopter return expedition, we will be concentrating on Lobuche East as the west peak is more technical and taller.
This summit is classified as a Group B Trekking Peak, which will technically step up more than Mera and Island Peaks. This mountain summit was successfully triumphed for the first time by Laurence Nielson and Sherpa Ang Gyalzen on April 25, 1984.
As for our Lobuche peak climbing with helicopter return itinerary, it begins with an early mountain flight to Lukla. You will then start trekking through historic Sherpa villages, where you will end your day in luxurious mountain lodges.
You will then have acclimatization hikes to Everest Base Camp (5364 m) and Kala Patthar (5644 m), after which you will leave the busy Everest trail and head towards the peaceful setting of Lobuche Base Camp and High Camp.
With the assistance of our experienced Sherpa Climbing guide, you will then take on the technical ascent of Lobuche East the next morning. The ultimate luxury then awaits you, where instead of a four-day return hike, you will board our private helicopter and return directly to Kathmandu from Lobuche Base Camp.
Perfect for fit trekkers and new climbers who are ready for their first peak, our Lobuche peak climbing with helicopter return expedition is most optimal during the spring and autumn seasons in Nepal.
Believe us when we say Life Himalaya Trekking is the right partner for all your trips, treks, and expeditions in Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet. We don’t just plan trips; we create very safe and deeply personal mountaineering experiences with our decades of expertise.
We were established in 2016, and our team consists of local certified guides and climbing Sherpas who lead the treks, technical peak climbs, expeditions, and tours triumphantly.
Your safety is also our top priority, and so we offer you a high guide-to-climber ratio, emergency medical kits, and effective communication with rescue helicopters.
Plus, we also create custom itineraries for our beloved guests while also practicing responsible and sustainable tourism.
For our Lobuche peak climbing with EBC adventure, we offer you:

As you step out of TIA, our representative will greet you with a silk Khada and transport you via our private AC vehicle to your five-star accommodation.
Enjoy your time in perfect luxury for a while. In the evening, you will meet our luxury Lobuche Peak climbing with heli return expedition guide at the hotel.
He will give you the details about your Lobuche peak climbing with helicopter return itinerary and also conduct a brief check of your gear.
Please retire early in the evening, as we will have to depart tonight around midnight to Ramechhap Airport via private vehicle to board an early morning flight to Lukla. This often happens due to the heavy air traffic that occurs during spring and autumn.

Today, we will be hiking up to the legendary Hotel Everest View, the highest located hotel in the world at 3880 m. After breakfast, we will start our steady upward climb and reach the Syangboche airstrip.
Our climb will remain gentle till we reach the stone terrace of this hotel, where we will relax in fresh Himalayan air and watch the black pyramids of Everest, Lhotse, Changtse, Samdur, Kangtega, Thamserku, Kongde Ri, and the stunningly elegant Ama Dablam.
Next, we may also extend our hike to the traditional Sherpa villages of Khumjung or Khunde if we have enough energy left. We will then descend to Namche and enjoy ourselves in mountain cafes or the Himalayan bakery.

TeahouseOur morning begins with hiking along the flat mountain path high above the Dudh Koshi River that will take us out of Namche. This part of the trail is often called the Khumbu Highway, which offers us the sensational spectacle of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Everest, and Lhotse.
After hiking for two hours, we will pass through Kyanjuma and reach Sanasa Village. The trail here forks into two ways: one going up towards Gokyp Valley and the other descending into the deep valley floor.
We will walk along the descending trail, which carries us to the riverbed of Imja Khola. The path from here moves up vertically along the rocky slope of Phungi Thenga (3250 m).
Here, we will eat our lunch and rest for a moment. Resuming our journey, we will cross a scenic suspension bridge and start a steady 2 to 3-hour uphill climb through the beautiful jungle.
Eventually, we will arrive on the wide grassy ridge of Tengboche, where we will settle in one of the best lodges of the village. Later, we may take a small visit to Tengboche Monastery, where we can witness the monks performing their evening prayers.

After some rest, we will continue along a steep zigzag trail for around an hour and reach a rocky moraine hill of Dughla Pass (4830 m). On the flat summit of this hill, we can see a climber’s memorial.
Locally, the pass is also called Chupki Lara, where dozens of stone chortens lie covered in prayer flags. We will leave this ridge and start to hike along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. We will then make a steady final push and reach Lobuche Village.

1,350 m.The absolutely perfect window for our Lobuche peak climbing with helicopter return expedition is spring (March to May), followed by autumn (September to November).
During spring, the weather in Khumbu warms up, the days become longer, and the snow on the trail also turns pretty solid and compacted, thus offering you the highest success rate on the summit.
Morning skies are also usually stable and clear, which is perfect for a helicopter flight on return. And the landscape will also be bright and colorful with vibrant rhododendrons.
During autumn, the weather will also be incredibly stable, but it will be slightly colder than in spring. However, this will be the perfect season for helicopter flight due to clear weather and calmer winds.
Winter (December to February) is a bit uncomfortable season due to subzero temperatures, while monsoon/summer (June to August) often brings the risk of avalanches and landslides.
Lobuche Summit is officially classified as a Group B peak by the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), making it a bit demanding and physically tiring trekking peak in Nepal.
As for the alpine grade system, the summit is rated as PD+ (Peu Difficile / Slightly Difficult Plus), which means the route to the peak involves real alpine climbing hazards that require the use of technical mountaineering gear.
Overall, our luxury Lobuche Peak climbing with heli return expedition is a challenging semi-technical introduction to high Himalayan mountaineering that sits between a strenuous high-altitude trek and entry-level technical mountaineering.
The challenges and difficulties that you will face in our Lobuche peak climbing with helicopter return adventure are:
Lobuche East peak is slightly more technical and demanding than its counterparts, such as Mera Peak and Island Peak. The route to the summit certainly has some technical and alpine hurdles for which patience, vigilance, proper gear, and attention are needed.
Some such technically tough sections of Lobuche Summit are:
As you ascend high above the High Camp of Lobuche Peak, you must traverse a steep section that contains huge, smooth granite rock slabs.
The challenge here is due to the difficulty in balancing, which becomes even harder if there is a fresh pile of snow. To traverse this section, oftentimes pre-fixed safety lines are used for added protection.
The Crampon Point is a transition point between the High Camp and Headpoint, which can be regarded as a classic alpine bottleneck. To cross this section, you will need to use your crampons, harness, and ice axe under the guidance of our Sherpa climbing guide.
This is the most physically demanding technical section of Lobuche Summit. It is a 45 to 60-degree angled high wall of snow and ice that leads you to the ridge of the summit.
Ascending this section requires strong perseverance, correct use of your gear, such as a jumar, fixed rope, and crampons.
After the Headpoint, the very open high ridge line of Lobuche East begins, which is incredibly narrow with sheer drop-off on both sides and strong mountain winds.
To climb this section, you will be securely tied to a continuous fixed safety line, and you must maintain a slow rhythmic walking technique, coordinating with your teammates and guide.
Yes, even if you are a complete beginner climber, you can still participate in our Lobuche peak climbing with helicopter return expedition as long as you have exceptional fitness and excellent mental resilience.
If you are a passionate trekker who has successfully completed high-altitude hikes like the Everest Base Camp Trek or the Annapurna Circuit but has never climbed any mountain before, if you have exceptional cardiovascular stamina and strong leg muscles, and if you are a daring adventurer who also values complete luxury, then you can all engage in our Lobuche peak climbing with the EBC expedition.
However, please note that although the peak is a Trekking Mountain that doesn’t demand any past technical experience, and you will be given a pre-climb training along with a 1:1 or 1:2 guide ratio on the summit day, you shouldn’t underestimate its raw strength.
So, if you are already suffering from any serious illnesses related to the lungs and heart, then please get advice from your doctor before deciding to book your spot in our Lobuche peak climbing with helicopter return expedition.
We request you to understand that even though we have a helicopter return included at the end of our Lobuche peak climbing with helicopter return expedition, it doesn’t eliminate the risk of AMS from the expedition.
The helicopter will be used only when you go down and not when you are going up. Therefore, you will still be trekking the low-oxygen, high-altitude trail, where you will need to adapt efficiently to the changing altitude and atmosphere.
To combat this risk, we have therefore included two nights at Namche Bazaar with ascent of EBC and Kala Patthar, along with rest at the High Camp of the peak.
Still, some climbers may go through the mild symptoms of AMS, such as headaches, mild nausea, or sleeplessness. To manage such symptoms, walk at a slow pace, consume 4 to 5 liters of water daily, never skip acclimatization hikes, and use Diamox (Acetazolamide) both to treat and prevent AMS.
If your symptoms get worse, notify our guide immediately, who will coordinate with us for your immediate emergency evacuation helicopter so we can drop you safely to Lukla or Kathmandu within an hour.
A helicopter flight will save you 4 to 5 days of return trek on the journey, but you will still have to push hard for the 8 to 10 hours ascent and descent on the summit day, along with several hiking days on the trail.
Therefore, you must engage in a vigorous training program to improve your heart and lung health, along with an increase in your endurance and strength.
Begin the following training session 3 to 5 months before your Lobuche peak climbing with helicopter return expedition date:
Since we have included helicopter return in our Lobuche peak climbing with helicopter return itinerary, it saves several days, which you can spend walking different trails in the Everest region.
Here are some options that we suggest to add exceptional variations to your Lobuche peak climbing with helicopter return expedition:
If you are an experienced trekker and want to take an extraordinary alpine challenge, then adding the Gokyo Lake and Cho La Pass trek to your Lobuche peak climbing with helicopter return expedition will be ideal for you.
You will first enter the Gokyo Valley, cross the Cho La Pass, and trek down to Lobuche Base Camp to push for the summit. This will give you an additional 3 to 4 days of acclimatization before you attempt the summit.
Depending on your mountaineering background and technical expertise, you can also choose to summit the Lobuche West peak, which is taller, more technical, and a true expedition peak.
To climb this peak, a separate climbing permit is needed along with multiday camping nights and exceptional ice and rock climbing skills.
The route will follow the same till Kala Patthar, from where you will descend to Lobuche West Peak Base Camp and High Camp (5850 m).
For our Lobuche peak climbing with helicopter return expedition, we have elevated your logistics to higher comfort and luxury as opposed to standard teahouse treks and expeditions.
In Kathmandu, you will stay in elegant Arya or Aloft Heritage hotels, where you will have deluxe rooms, attached modern bathrooms, AC, spa, full buffet breakfast, and high-speed WiFi.
On the trekking phase, you will spend your nights in high-standard premium mountain lodges till Dingboche Village. You will have heated rooms, comfortable electric blankets, private attached bathrooms, and hot running showers.
When our climb to the summit approach, we will spend nights at the base and High camp of Lobuche Peak. During this time, we will provide you very durable and cold-resistant high altitude tents.
You will have thick foamed insulated mattress and sleeping bags. There will also be separate kitchen and dining tents for cooking and eating while there will also be a private toilet tent.
Regarding your meals, we will offer you full board meals daily (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) with fresh seasonal fruit with dinner. At the camp, our professional chef will prepare fresh, nutritional hot meals for you.
You will also get unlimited boiled and purified drinking water throughout the trek and climb. As for hot beverages, tea or coffee will always be available to you during your breakfast and dinner.
However, premium beverages such as alcohol, soft drinks, and snacks are excluded from our service cost.

The service includes your airport transfers, city driving, domestic flight to Lukla, Ramechhap transfer, and helicopter return straight from Lobuche Base Camp to Kathmandu.
On request, we can also upgrade to fly directly from Kathmandu to Lukla via helicopter.
