day 01 Arrival at Kathmandu

You’re going to Tribhuvan International Airport today. You will be picked up from the airport by a representative from Life Himalaya Trekking, who will then drive you directly to your accommodation.

day 02 Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu

You will tour the Kathmandu valley on the second day of your journey. You will particularly visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites that are well-known for their culture, history, and arts.

We will take you and our guide to the three most important locations in the Kathmandu Valley. Bouddhanath stupa, Pashupatinath temple, and Kathmandu durbar square.

Return to the hotel to make your last travel preparations and continue your trip briefing with your guide. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

day 03 Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

You will eat breakfast in Kathmandu early in the morning, after which our staff will take you up from your accommodation. Then a personal jeep will take you to Pokhara.

However, the jeep needs to travel to Pokhara for 6 hours. We will see more of Nepal’s countryside along the way, which is home to greenery, waterways, villages, farmland, and stunning mountain scenery. You will arrive at Pokhara after traveling for roughly 200 kilometers.

When you arrive in Pokhara, you will be able to see the majestic mountain ranges of Mount Annapurna, Mount Machhapuchhre, Mount Dhaulagiri, and Mount Manaslu. You will have the opportunity to take a stroll along Pokhara Lake in the evening.

day 04 4WD Jeep Drive from Pokhara to Tatopani via Beni

We leave the hotel for Mustang after breakfast. From Pokhara to Tatopani, the path heads west toward Beni indeed. It will take 5 to 6 hours to get there, with breaks at local markets, settlements, streams, and farmlands along the way. You’ll drive alongside the deepest Kali Gandaki river.

You will arrive at Tatopani while enjoying insights into the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountain ranges. The natural hot spring in Tatopani is available for bathing. Spend the night in one of the local hotels here.

day 05 4WD Jeep Drive from Tatopani to Kagbeni and religious pilgrimage to Muktinath Temple

Driving through the nearby villages of Kalopani and Ghasa after breakfast will allow you to see how apples are grown in Marpha Village and visit the local market in Jomsom. It will take 5 to 6 hours to drive via Jomsom and then travel to the famed holy site of Muktinath, where you may witness the 108 water taps.

Additionally, you’ll stop by Jal Devi to watch the fire getting lit naturally, a Buddhist temple in Jharkot with stunning views of the Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and Tukuche Peak then travel to Kagbeni to spend the night.

day 06 4WD jeep Drive to Ghami Village via Syangboche Pass

Document the specific entrance permission procedures before traveling to Ghami Village. After breakfast, you will see the Buddhist school and Kagbeni Monastery in the morning. To start your adventure in Upper Mustang, you need specific permissions.

Your guide will thus contact it before leaving Kagbeni. You start your adventure by crossing the Kaligandaki river close to Chhusang Village. Following that, as you ascend the paths, you pass past several traditional communities such as Chella, Samar, Syangboche, and several more.

Today you will drive to the Lo Manthang unseen king realm after eating breakfast at Ghami. You arrive in Lo Manthang after passing through several small towns. When you get here, you’ll go to the Mustang Lo Gager Ghar Gompa monastery.

Additionally, you will go to Jampa Gompa, popularly referred to as “God’s house,” which dates back to the 15th century. Then the major city gompa, Chodey Gompa. On this day, you will see a lot of monasteries.

Overnight at a Tea house in Lo-Manthang.

day 08 Lo-Manthang and Chhosar exploration

You go sightseeing in Lo Manthang today. We will go to Lo-Manthang village today to learn about the customs, culture, and distinctive way of life of the locals. You’ll also go to Shija Jhong Cave, the Namgyal Gompa, and the Chhoser Sky Caves.

Several of the caves are almost 3000 years old. The majority of the caves close to Chhoser are often utilized for dwelling, prayer, and funeral.

Sky burial is still practiced in Upper Mustang, namely in Chhoser and the neighboring communities. You will take a jeep back to the guesthouse after finishing your local area tour and spend the night there.

Upper Mustang Jeep Tour - Essential Information

The Upper Mustang by Jeep Trip Route

The Upper Mustang by Jeep tour starts as you arrive in Kathmandu. The trail then leads you to the various landmarks of the medieval heritage sites of the city. You can explore the durbar squares with many temples, palaces, etc. You can also find various sightseeing points in Kathmandu. You need to get an Upper Mustang permit to travel to the Mustang region we will arrange that for you.

The drive then takes you to the lake city of Pokhara (827 m) the following day. You can also observe the beautiful highway settlements along the way. We will drive from Pokhara to Tatopani via Beni (2600 m) the next day, which will take around 6-7 hours. The beautiful jeep drive takes you to the Kagbeni (2900m) from Tatopani the next day.

From Tatopani, you will travel on a religious pilgrimage to Muktinath Temple (3800 m), which takes around 5-6 hours. From Muktinath, we will take the jeep to Ghami Village (3520 m) via Syangboche Pass (4200 m).

On Day 07, we will travel to the beautiful Lo-Manthang (3840 m) and explore around Lo-Manthang and Chhosar. After acclimatizing and exploring for a day, we will drive back to Jomsom (2743 m).

On this day, we will fly back from Jomsom to Pokhara and go sightseeing at Pokhara. We will either take a flight or drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Our 12 days Upper Mustang by Jeep tour ends as you take a flight from Kathmandu to your desired destination.

From the moment we were picked up at the airport, everything was organized perfectly. Due to weather conditions, the company arranged a helicopter flight for us, which made the start of our adventure even more special. Our guide, Rabin, was exceptional. He was kind, caring, and looked after us every step of the way. Whenever we felt unwell, he made sure we were comfortable and helped us recover.  Verified Awesome experience with Life Himalayan I had a wonderful time trekking EBC. Birsha Rai was an awesome guide he made sure I had anything I needed. He made sure my accommodations were good and I had plenty of water and snacks for the trek. Dhan Kajl was my porter and he took extra care of my things my bag was always clean and dry when delivered to my room. He even carried my day pack the last stretch of EBC trek. Life Himalayan took care of me from the moment I landed and was without one bag to making sure I made all my helicopter connections. Someone was there every step of the way.  Verified 5 Stars! Life Himalaya Trekking gave us an amazing experience! We had the most wonderful guide, Jal Tamang. Not only did he provide amazing conversation, high spirits, and tons of great information about the Everest region, he went above and beyond when a member of our party got altitude sickness. He worked tirelessly to bring food & water to them during their hospital stay, but also coordinated their time in Lukla after they had had to descend. I still made it to Base Camp, and throughout our journey he made the entire experience unforgettable. The accommodations were also truly top notch, with the earlier tea houses offering hot showers, readily available charging, and even heating pads under the mattresses.  Verified Lifetime Experience! Life Himalaya Trekking took great care of us. We wanted to do Everest Base Camp in as little time as possible and found this company. We found out they are family owned Sheba is the owner and his son Raj were both awesome. Sheba first started as a Sherpa, then became a guide and now owns his own company. Our guide Rabin was so kind to us! Rabin always went out of his way to take care of us every step of the way. Rabin also started as a Sherpa and now is a guide. I would highly recommend this company our shortened trip to Everest Base Camp from 10 to 7 days because of our tight schedule was a success and a trip of a life time that my good friend and I will remember the rest of our lives. My guides Sagar and Robin were outstanding. They built rapport with each hiker in the group and understood each persons capabilities. They encouraged, entertained, and gave us moral support especially during the push to summit. At one point, the going got so tough that I was almost ready to turn back. Sagar gave me the much needed encouragement, confidence, and made sure I didn't give up. I couldn't have made it to the top without them. The views from the top were just spectacular and it was worth every bit of the effort. Thanks to Life Himalaya Trekking for making it possible for me to have this beautiful once in a lifetime adventure!!!

 Verified Excellent team fantastic service My friend and I completed the Everest Base Camp trek with Life Himalaya in April 2026, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Shiba was incredibly prompt with communication and thoughtfully customised the itinerary according to our requirements and preferences, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. We were warmly welcomed at the airport by our guide, Kiran, and from that moment onward he ensured we were well looked after every step of the journey. His care, compassion, enthusiasm, and deep knowledge of the mountains and local culture were outstanding. Kiran consistently prioritised our safety, comfort, and enjoyment, making the trek both rewarding and memorable. Our porters, Dhan Kumar and Asthan, were equally caring and supportive.  Verified The best memories and the best of times Life Himalayas were outstanding from the start to finish, every situation catered gor. I especially liked the personal touches from the owners Sheba, he needs every one ate the start of the trip and take toy out for a farewell meal at the end.
