Rapid Everest Base Camp Trek – 8 days Itinerary

Kathmandu to Namche
Early morning, our guide will pickyou up from the hotel and drive you to the Kathmandu domestic Airport. Then we will enjoy scenic 30 min flight to Lukla. After reaching ‘the gateway to Everest’ we will meet with our porters,and start our trek to Namche Bazaar.
It is a long trek so we will maintain fast pace with ocassional water breaks and rest. We will walk down hill following the Dudh Koshi River (milky river) for couple of hours to reach Phakding village. After that we will trek between the hills along the river to reach Monjo, where we will stop for Lunch.
Monjo is the entry point to Sagarmatha National Park. We will get our National Park permit there and head towards Namche Bazaar for our final strech. On the trail, we will cross the popular Hillary Bridge, which is known as one of the highest bridge in the region and popular place for photographs and videos. After crossing the bridge, we will hike approx 2 hr uphill, this is considered to be one of the difficult climb of the whole trek.
Finally, we reach Namche Bazaar, ‘The Sherpa Capital” known for its aura, towns, shops and resturant, Namche is one of the biggest town/village of the Everest Region.

Namche Bazaar to Pangboche
Starting today, we will hike up to Namche View Point at Hillary Museum, getting our first clear view of Mt.Everest on a sunny day. Then, we start our trek through the well-paved path with amazing views of Thamserku, Kusum Kanguru, AmaDablam, Lhoste, and Everest. We will continue through the terrain, through a gradual uphill and then a substantial downhill reaching Phungi Tenga, where we will have our Lunch. Then, we will hike uphill to reach Tengboche, also one of the steepest hikes of our Rapid Everest Base Camp Trek.
We will explore one of the oldest monasteries and the biggest Monastery, the Tengboche monastery, and then continue our journey towards Debuche. From there we will continue with the gradual uphill and plain trail to reach Pangboche village.

Pangboche to Dugla

As you approach Thukla, the terrain becomes more rugged, with rocky paths demanding steady footing.

Dugla To Gorakshep and afternoon hike to Kalapathar
After breakfast, we will start uphill towrds the Thukal Memorial Pass. It is place located in the Thukla Pass in honour of the deseased members during the Everest Expedition. After that , we will follow the gradula plain path to Lobuche, where we will have our Lunch.
After some rest, we will follow the rugged rocky terrain with ups and downs to Gorakshep. The whole way, we will be walking above the Khumbu Glacier, which has been covere beneth all the debries reaching Gorakshep, the final stop before base camp.
Late Afternoon around 4/5pm we can even hike upto Kalapathar for sunset view of the panoramic vistas including the best view of Mt.Everest in the whole trek.

Everest base camp to Pheriche
After breakfast, we start trekking to EBC, our final destination, one of the best trekking spots in the whole world, dreamt by many but only some of the thrill seekers and adventure lovers dare to trek.
The magical moment is forever to cherish, overwhelming emotions, and satisfaction hit your body and soul upon reaching the Everest base camp. With lots of memories, photos, and videos, we head back to Gorakshep for Lunch and after some time head down to Pheriche for our overnight stay.

Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
Continue down, we will follow the same way back through Pangboche, Debuche, and Tengboche and head back to Namche Bazaar for our overnight stay.

Rapid Everest Base Camp Trek – 8 days - Essential Information
Also, Rapid Everest Base Camp Trek is full filled and blessed with breathtaking views of the mountains and landscapes. After you landed on Lukla, then on each step you’ll see the mountains of the Everest Range. After starting the trek, You’ll get the introductory views of the mountains but after Namche, you’ll get a full view of the mountains like Mount Everest, Mt, Lhotse, Mt. Pumori, Thamserku, Kongde Ri, Nuptse, Khumbutse, and many others.
Rapid Everest Base Camp trekking route
It is inside the Sagarmatha National park. Which is listed on the UNESCO world heritage site. The alpine forest, spotting of the Himalayan goat Thar, and other wild creatures add more adventure to this trek.
Besides the Himalayan Views and Cultural aspect, the natural phenomenon is also a considerable part of this trek. Khumbu icefall, Glaciers, and Himalayan forest of Rhododendron, High altitude plants, and flowers contribute to the beauty of this trek.
Two places that can not be ignored during this Everest trek are Namche Bazaar and Kalapathar viewpoint. Namche Bazar is also known as the capital of the Sherpa people. It is a gateway to Everest. Despite being in the height of 3540 m and untouched by road transportation, you can get anything here.
From your Trekking gears to the ATM service. Kala Patthar is the best viewpoint among all trekking destinations in Nepal not only Everest. It presents you the perfect view of the Everest massif, Standing between Nuptse and Lhotse. The view of sunrise over the world’s highest mountain can not be described in words. It will take your breath away.
The magnificent journey to Everest Base Camp will begin the day after your arrival. On the first day, we will take a domestic flight, in case of weather conditions you can also take a helicopter (which is not included in the itinerary). Lukla is a trekking starting point for the whole Everest Trekking.
Following the footprints of Edmund Hillary and Tenzing, we will reach Phakding. Following the Khumjung River, We will cross it through Hillary Suspension bridge to set our day destination at Namche.
Passing through, Different ethnic villages and valleys of Khumjung like Deboche, and Tengboche, we will rest overnight in Pangboche on the second day of the trek. After that going through, Dingboche, Thukla, and Lobuche, we will finally make it to Everest Base Camp. Right after, we start descending towards Lukla through, the same way down. And fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla.

After your arrival at Kathmandu international airport.Our representative holding a board of Life Himalaya Trekking with writing your name on board front of the terminal door, so that you can easily recognize in the meantime we will bring you to your hotel, after refreshing at the hotel you can meet with our managing director and your trek guide.
During the meeting, the director will brief you about your trekking trip. That means we will give you all the necessary information about the trek, about necessary equipment, and the highlight of the trip. After finishing the trip we also take you to the Kathmandu international airport and departure for your onward destination.

Regarding Everest Trek flight in Tenzing Hilary airport Lukla:
Everest Trek flight to Lukla, Trekkers mostly use twin otter plane for the means of air transportation in the Nepalese sky and during the flight in the Everest Himalaya region of Nepal, the flight schedule is canceled and changes from time to time due to poor visibility, weather condition, and many other technical problems.
In such a case, we would charter a helicopter for our guests regarding the schedule of their international flight and for the different problems that arise in the trek. The charter cost should be paid at the head office of Life Himalaya trekking at Thamel-29 and later on, you can claim with your travel insurance.
As per Nepal Civil aviation rules, the helicopter will fly if the visibility is up to 1500m and visibility should be 5000m for flying Twin Otter in Nepalese sky.
Who can go Everest base camp trek?
For the Everest base camp trek, you do not need any kind of technical training. The difficulty of the Everest base camp trek is high altitude Walk. Every year more than 50 thousand trekkers reach Everest base camp. Most people think that they need experience of the trek or hike for the Everest base camp trek and they stop thinking about the Everest base camp.
But in reality, you don’t need any experience for the Everest base camp trekking. Just a 5-6 hour mountain walk per day will reach you to the Everest base camp. There is no age restriction for the base camp trekking. Everyone who can walk is allowed to trek in the Everest base camp. Life Himalaya guarantee that single female trekkers are safe to trek alone with our guide. If necessary we will provide an experienced female guide for the female trekkers.
Rapid Everest base camp trek health and safety:
Everest base camp trek is high-altitude trekking. At high altitudes, the density of oxygen is minimum so at that time your pulmonary and cardiac systems are affected. Our body will adjust to the high altitude slowly and gradually so, we put some days for the acclimatization. During the trek stay out of the sun whenever possible. Use sunblock creams for avoiding the sun.
For an emergency bring primary aid stuff. You do not have to worry if you got sick or injured at any place during the trekking. We have a well-trained guide for the primary aid so they will help you. If primary aid can’t work then we will rescue you by helicopter at any point During the Trek. If you got some problems in your body like lung problems, blood diseases, bone problems, etc. you must inform us before joining the trek.
