Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek is often named an off-beaten and short trekking route in the Annapurna Region of Nepal. Being near one of the most popular tourist destinations Pokhara, it serves as one of the most promising destinations for incredible views of the Himalayan peaks, natural beauties, and human settlement of the Himalayas.

Base Camp trek to Mardi is one of the highly emerging treks in Nepal on the lap of Fishtail (Machhapuchhre) which you definitely should not miss out on.

Our 7 days trek begins officially on the second day of your arrival with a scenic drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu. And a one and a half-hour ride to Dhampus. Dhampus is a local village turning into a tourist destination because of its architectural house designs and beautiful sceneries of high snow-capped mountains and hilly landscapes.

You would spend the night in a reputed teahouse/lodge. The next day after breakfast we started our journey to the Forest camp. The trail to Mardi Himal leads to some beautiful small villages like Pothana, Pitam Deurali, etc.

Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek Itinerary – 07 days - Essential Information

The trail to Mardi Himal High camp is quite steep to begin with the early morning after breakfast in Forest Camp. On the way vast rhododendron, oak, maple, and pine forest cover the view until we reach Badal Danda where we will have our lunch. Before reaching Badal Danda we cross Mardi Himal Rest Camp and Mardi Himal Low Camp. After having lunch in Badal danda the forest starts to fade away and barren land with small bushes appears reminding the change to tundra vegetation. The view of Fishtail, Annapurna II, and Annapurna South along with other snow-covered ridges welcomes you to High camp.

High camp is a hilltop village with many lodges where trekkers rest for an early morning trek to see the sunrise view of the wonderful Himalayas. After an early dinner we spend the night with excitement thinking about what the next day will bring. The most important day of the trek begins with the earliest 2hr steep hike to the viewpoint where we see the golden sunrise on the mighty himalayas.

The moment the rays fall upon the glowing snow the real beauty of Nepal amazes us once again and we wonder how grateful we are. After observing the panoramic sunrise we hike towards Mardi Himal base Camp our destination for our close up view of the peaks. Then we will return to High Camp, have our lunch and trek back to Low Camp. Then we descend to Siding from where we drive off-road to Pokhara and take a flight back to Kathmandu and end the trek.

 Verified An Incredible Trek with the Best Team!
I completed the Manaslu Circuit with Saugat and Aunil, and it was an absolutely incredible experience! The trek was breathtaking, the organization was perfect, and the views were simply stunning. Saugat’s knowledge, professionalism, and expertise as a guide, together with Aunil’s help, kindness, and support as a porter, made the whole experience even more special. I couldn’t have asked for a better team! I will definitely come back to Nepal, and I will choose this agency, Saugat, and Aunil again without hesitation. 10 stars for my new friends! A life changing experience! Milan and Bhim were the best guide and porter for our very first trek in the Himalayas. Although the weather wasn’t always on our side, we got to see the most spectacular views, stayed in the best hotels/ camps and definitely got to tick off an item on the bucket list. Thanks to Life Himalaya Trekking, my husband and I were able to realize a dream. From the moment of organizing from Italy, Shiba proved to be extremely available and quick in communications. And, once here, we were able to immediately verify how efficient the entire team that makes up the company is. Shiba is infinitely sweet and friendly; he pampered us, guiding us through all the organizational aspects of our trip, from the trek to Everest Base Camp to cultural visits in Kathmandu and surroundings, covering all types of transportation we needed. We would like to thank Promot, Raj, Rajan, and especially our exceptional tour guide Ajya, who accompanied us through the most iconic places in Kathmandu, sharing their history and every cultural aspect. The passion and love for one's work allowed us to immerse ourselves in a world that, otherwise, we would have understood and experienced only halfway. We were extremely satisfied with our Everest Base Camp trek with Life Himalaya Trekking. From the moment we were picked up at the airport, everything was organized perfectly. Due to weather conditions, the company arranged a helicopter flight for us, which made the start of our adventure even more special. Our guide, Rabin, was exceptional. He was kind, caring, and looked after us every step of the way. Whenever we felt unwell, he made sure we were comfortable and helped us recover. His knowledge of the mountains, careful approach to acclimatization, and genuine care for our well-being allowed us to continue the journey safely. Most importantly, he treated us like family, making the entire trek feel like a trip with friends rather than a guided tour. Our porter, Arjun, was equally amazing. He was always cheerful, funny, and incredibly helpful. During acclimatization hikes and challenging moments, he even helped with our backpacks when we were struggling. His positive attitude made every day more enjoyable. Both Rabin and Arjun are true gems and a huge asset to the company. We cannot thank them enough for everything they did for us.  Verified Awesome experience with Life Himalayan
I had a wonderful time trekking EBC. Birsha Rai was an awesome guide he made sure I had anything I needed. He made sure my accommodations were good and I had plenty of water and snacks for the trek. Dhan Kajl was my porter and he took extra care of my things my bag was always clean and dry when delivered to my room. He even carried my day pack the last stretch of EBC trek. Life Himalayan took care of me from the moment I landed and was without one bag to making sure I made all my helicopter connections. Someone was there every step of the way. Life Himalaya Trekking gave us an amazing experience! We had the most wonderful guide, Jal Tamang. Not only did he provide amazing conversation, high spirits, and tons of great information about the Everest region, he went above and beyond when a member of our party got altitude sickness. He worked tirelessly to bring food & water to them during their hospital stay, but also coordinated their time in Lukla after they had had to descend. I still made it to Base Camp, and throughout our journey he made the entire experience unforgettable. The accommodations were also truly top notch, with the earlier tea houses offering hot showers, readily available charging, and even heating pads under the mattresses. What a beautiful experience! Life Himalaya trekking and their team are truly great. Our guide Rabin Ray is a mountain professional. He took great care of us throughout the journey. Our porter Tik as well, always there to help us. Shiba, the owner, is a professional and he makes sure to meet us and ensure that everything goes well before our departure.
