Sagarmatha National park

The world’s tallest mountain Mt. Everest (8846.88m) lies in this national park along with different famous peaks which gives trekking, climbing, and touring opportunities. It is the highest situated National Park in the world. There are varieties of floral and fauna species along with glaciers, lakes, and rivers with high climbing peaks and mountains.

Chitwan National Park

Situated at the plains of southern Nepal, Chitwan National park is famous for the one-horned rhino and different species of other birds and animals with different floral species.

Lumbini

The birthplace of Lord “Gautam Buddha”, also known as  Light of Asia, is one of the famous destinations for both religious and adventure tourism. 

Swayambhunath

One of the unique dome-shaped architecture painted in gold and white, it lies in the heart of Kathmandu Valley on a hilltop. It is also known as the Monkey temple and is one of the main attractions of local and international tourists. Due to mixed religious beliefs regarding the temple both Hindu and Buddhist worship Swayambhunath.

Boudhanath

Boudhanath is also one of the dome-shaped architecture. One of the biggest stupas in the world situated at Kathmandu offers a local Newari and Tibetan mixture of culture with Buddhist and Hindu influence around the premises.

Pashupatinath

One of the most popular sightseeing destinations in Kathmandu offers a lot of opportunities to observe the history of the temple its importance, small temples surrounding the monuments, the local shops, and the saints around the premises which is an experience in itself. 

Kathmandu Durbar Square

The nearest touristic destination from the local tourist hub  Thamel, Kathmandu durbar square was a royal palace. The starting construction of the site dates back up to the 3rd century and most of them were built in the 10th century and later used by Malla kings. It has gone through continuous redesigning to preserve the site. As it is one of the architectural, historical, and cultural aspects of that era. It is also the home to the Living Goddess “Kumari”.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square

One of the three Squares of The valley Bhaktapur durbar square is popular for its unique approach to architecture influenced by Newari Culture. It is home to the 9 story temple called Nyatapola and is famous for the peacock shape window design. Alongside it,55 window palaces, Golden Gate, Lions Gate, etc. are a few of the popular tourist attractions. Local mud pottery is also one of the attractions of Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

Patan Durbar Square

Patan Durbar Square lies in the eastern part of the valley. It was built around the 1600s by the Malla dynasty. It has 136 courtyards and 55 major temples. Krishna temple, Taleju Bhawani are some of the important temples. There are quite a few water taps with stone carving and architectural design.

Changunarayan Temple

Considered the oldest temple of Nepal believed to be built in 464 AD by Mandeva, It is situated at a hilltop among different varieties of trees surrounded by Newari settlements.  There are different gift shops, local restaurants, and tea shops, etc. around the temple area. There is also a museum of old coins, objects of historical and cultural importance, etc.
