Arriving at Paro Airport & Drive to capital city Thimphu

This is the first day of our impeccable short Bhutan tours. Upon taking a 1 hour 15 minutes flight from Kathmandu, we’ll reach Paro International Airport.

Sight Seeing at Thimphu and drive to Paro

This is the 2nd day of the short Bhutan Tours from Kathmandu. After taking a morning meal, our trip begins.

On the 2nd day of our tour, we’ll start our tour by exploring National Memorial Chorten. It is one of the impeccable Stupas built in memory of the Third King of Bhutan. It is the most visited attraction of Bhutan and a promising site for worshipping and meditation.

After visiting, Memorial Chorten, we’ll mark our steps to Zilukha Nunnery. It is one of the perfect places also known by the Drubthob Goemba Monastery. It was established in the year 1976. The site creates beautiful relations with Bhutan and Tibet.

Afterwards, we’ll visit Royal Takin Sanctuary. It is a wildlife reserve. It was established by Lama Drupa Kunley in the 15th century. This place is worth to visit and see different species of animals and birds.

You may be hungry now. We’ll have a mouthwatering Lunch at a café in Thimphu. Afterwards, we’ll explore the textile Museum, where we learn about the art of weaving, which plays a significant role in enhancing the culture and development of the country. After that, we’ll enter the Folk Heritage Museum. This remarkable place tells you about the art, culture, history and traditions of the Bhutanese people.

Upon exploring these two museums, we’ll head to the Traditional School of Arts & Crafts. It is the place where students learn about woodcarving painting and statue making.

Hike to Tiger Monastery and sightseeing in Paro

This is the 3rd day of our trip. After enjoying a delicious breakfast hotel, we’ll proceed our further tour.

Our day starts with hiking a Tiger’s Nest Monastery which has an altitude of 3,120 meters. It is also known as Paro Taktsang; and is one of the renowned pilgrimage sites of Bhutan.  This hike is moderate to difficult. If you have a reasonable level of fitness; you may easily conclude it.

The trip is about 6-7 kilometers. It takes around 4-5 hours depending on your pace of walking. Our Tiger Nest monastery trek begins from the Paro valley, which is quite near by the Paro city.

Throughout our hike, we’ll pass through lush pine forests. If we travel in spring, we may also see beautiful rhododendrons. During your hike to Tiger Nest, you’ll get well-maintained trails. Additionally, we will be glad to see the prayer flags and shrines on your way.

After halfway through our tour, we may relax, enjoy and have food at the café. Upon reaching the top, we’ll get the magical views of Paro Valley and scenic backdrops. Aside from this, there are several other sites to look out in this monastery.

After exploring some golden time at the Monastery, we’ll descend down to the base and have Lunch.

Upon hiking, it’s time to explore some of the magnificent places of Paro. At first, we’ll visit National Museum of the Paro also known as Para to Dzong. The places tell you about history, arts, origins and culture of Bhutanese people. It was established in the year 1649. After landing at this place, you’ll be wander and amazed by seeing its unique blends of architectural designs.

Afterwards in the late afternoon, we’ll take blessings from Kyichu Lakhang. It is one of the most pious and sacred temples of Bhutan.

Meanwhile, in the evening, you may stroll around the markets and shops of Paro. As the sun goes down, it’s time to relax the body and have some delicious cuisines to taste.

Departure day, Transfer to Paro International Airport

This is the last day of the trip as per our itinerary. After having breakfast at the hotel, you make sure about your belongings, bags and bills before checking out from the hotel.

Upon that, we will transfer to Paro International Airport. The drive is short, which takes around 25-30 min. After reaching the airport, the tour guide will assist you to the luggage and baggage counter.

Upon security checking, we’ll head towards the main entrance and prepare for boarding. Eventually, board your flight and depart to your own destination by omitting several flawless and unforgettable memories.
