Overview of Ganesh Himal Trekking

Ganesh Himal trekking area lays in central eastern region of Nepal is one of the most isolated and least explored areas of Nepal's Himalayas. The unexplored area is masked between the popular destinations of Langtang National Park and the Manaslu Conservation Area Project.

The Ganesh Range Peaks (Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, and Ganesh IV) stand out like gem, which is the "Great Himalayan Chain" forming the horizon. This great Himalayan chain is contained between the valley of the Budi Gandaki in the west and Bhote Koshi in the east, which becomes Trisuli Khola in the lower section.

Wildflowers flourish, and waterfalls exaggerate the lavish hill scenery in a land blessed with wide ranging geographical, cultural and biological diversity. Sensational viewpoints feature the sublime Himalaya to the north. Most prominent is the Ganesh Himal Range; a family of peaks among the most attractive of the entire Himalaya.

After we take a bus ride out of the Kathmandu valley and cross the hills, the first sight of Ganesh Himal welcomes us. After about five hours bus journey we reach at the trek starting point Betrawati Town. In the course of the trek, we observe the diverse ways of inhabitation, and come in interaction with different people following various caste, creed and culture, and thereby pass through the dense forest.

The Gangajamuna Top (3000 M) offers a tremendous view of the massif Ganesh Himal (7406m), Manaslu (8163m), Annapurna, Fishtail, and more. On the last day of the trip we take a bus ride back to Kathmandu from Gorkha.
