Everest Three Pass and Three Base Camp Trek - Essential Information

When is the best time for the Everest Three pass and three base Camp trek?

March-May(Spring) and September-End November (Autumn) are the best time to do this trek as the weather is clearer in the day with less snow and the evening is pleasant with fewer chances of snowfall or rain. Nature is more lively and beautiful along with the vegetation can be observed properly. The high passes are covered in less snow, making them easier to climb.

Is Physical and mental Fitness necessary for the trek?

People with good physical and mental fitness who perform regular exercise are recommended for this trek and people with heart disease and other injuries are to be consulted with their doctor before booking the trek as the trek days are long with a strenuous walk over some of the high passes and base camp of Everest region. In addition, high altitude experience is also a plus point.

Why are Extra days important for Everest Trekking?

The weather in the Everest region can change all of a sudden in minutes so sometimes the Lukla flight may be canceled for a few hours or maybe a day or two. You can miss your international flight due to bad weather so having extra days may be crucial when trekking on Everest.

Even if the trek goes as planned you can utilize the extra remaining days for Adventure tourism like Paragliding, White Water Rafting, Bungee Jumping, world heritage sites at Bhaktapur, Wild Safari, and many more

Three passes and three base Camp treks start from meeting with a guide on the day after your arrival and doing a world heritage sites tour of Monkey temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, and Swambhunath around Kathmandu Valley. On the third day, we begin our trek by scenic, breathtaking and thrilling 35 minutes flight to Lukla. Then we trek through different small and big villages like Phakding, Namche Bazaar(3,440m)” Sherpa capital”, Thame, Marlung and head towards our first pass of the trek Renjo-la(5,345m) to reach Gokyo valley on the eighth day.

Then we continue our journey to Thangnak and cross Cho-la Pass(5,387m) another main attraction of the trek and to Lobuche. Now the itinerary of Everest Three passes and three base Camp trek leads towards the world’s highest base camp and return to Gorak Shep on the 13th day. The next day our guest will hike towards Kalapathar to see the glazing golden sunrise over Mt.Everest and return to Lobuche.

Next, we head towards Island Peak base camp and cross the remaining Kongma La Pass. and reach Island Peak base camp on the 15thday and return to Chhukung on the same day. At last, we trek towards Amadablam base camp through Pangboche village and reach there on the 17th day and return to Namche Bazaar and descend back to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.

I completed the Manaslu Circuit with Saugat and Aunil, and it was an absolutely incredible experience! The trek was breathtaking, the organization was perfect, and the views were simply stunning. Thanks to Life Himalaya Trekking, my husband and I were able to realize a dream. From the moment of organizing from Italy, Shiba proved to be extremely available and quick in communications. And, once here, we were able to immediately verify how efficient the entire team that makes up the company is. Shiba is infinitely sweet and friendly; he pampered us, guiding us through all the organizational aspects of our trip, from the trek to Everest Base Camp to cultural visits in Kathmandu and surroundings, covering all types of transportation we needed. We were extremely satisfied with our Everest Base Camp trek with Life Himalaya Trekking. From the moment we were picked up at the airport, everything was organized perfectly. Due to weather conditions, the company arranged a helicopter flight for us, which made the start of our adventure even more special. Our guide, Rabin, was exceptional. He was kind, caring, and looked after us every step of the way. Whenever we felt unwell, he made sure we were comfortable and helped us recover. His knowledge of the mountains, careful approach to acclimatization, and genuine care for our well-being allowed us to continue the journey safely. Most importantly, he treated us like family, making the entire trek feel like a trip with friends rather than a guided tour. Our porter, Arjun, was equally amazing. He was always cheerful, funny, and incredibly helpful. During acclimatization hikes and challenging moments, he even helped with our backpacks when we were struggling. I had a wonderful time trekking EBC. Birsha Rai was an awesome guide he made sure I had anything I needed. He made sure my accommodations were good and I had plenty of water and snacks for the trek. Dhan Kajl was my porter and he took extra care of my things my bag was always clean and dry when delivered to my room. He even carried my day pack the last stretch of EBC trek. Life Himalayan took care of me from the moment I landed and was without one bag to making sure I made all my helicopter connections. Someone was there every step of the way. Life Himalaya Trekking gave us an amazing experience! We had the most wonderful guide, Jal Tamang. Not only did he provide amazing conversation, high spirits, and tons of great information about the Everest region, he went above and beyond when a member of our party got altitude sickness. He worked tirelessly to bring food & water to them during their hospital stay, but also coordinated their time in Lukla after they had had to descend. I still made it to Base Camp, and throughout our journey he made the entire experience unforgettable. The accommodations were also truly top notch, with the earlier tea houses offering hot showers, readily available charging, and even heating pads under the mattresses.
