Everest Three High Passes Trek with Island Peak Climbing

What you should not try to do in Everest Trek?

“Let’s trek in the mountains.” when people have this statement in their mind, they ultimately think of some high mountains; when the high mountain comes to mind, it’s Mount Everest (8848 m). But it’s too high,  so they came up with a trek in Everest Base Camp Trek, Gokyo Trek High Pass Trek, or any other kind of Everest Trekking. It’s a magnificent trek all around the world. Despite being high altitude, peoples’ favorite trek is Everest Base Camp.

If you are willing to trek Everest, Life Himalaya Trekking offers many treks in Nepal that fit your holidays (We also operate Budget and All-inclusive premium Everest treks). If these trekking packages don’t suit you, we are here to help you with your tailor-made Itinerary. Visit our Everest Trekking packages, such as a Short Holiday 7 days EBC Trek, Nine Days Everest Base Camp, and more. Helicopters are used to return from Gorakshep to Kathmandu, saving you time for the next adventure. (Flying from Everest Base Camp is also possible, but the charge will be added to the mentioned price of the package

However, you must follow some major rules and regulations when trekking on Everest. We present the topmost things you should not commit to during the trek to Everest Base Camp. You must be aware of various things, but these are the major points.

Must be aware of these things in Everest Trek:

1. Trek only with a guide and permit. Take Porter and a local agency

If you are here to gain the lifetime experience of Everest base camp trekking. Then you should hire a guide, porter and local company. Here is why all these are for Everest trekking.

Firstly, Stop worrying about your trek to Everest; the local trekking agency will arrange everything for you. For instance, if you are here and want to trek independently, you might not be able to get accommodation. Travel agencies have already booked every hotel and lodge. All you have to do is pay, and there is every service you need.

However, it would be best to have a guide and porter. Usually, once you are linked or booked with a local trekking agency, the guide will be provided, but make sure he is excellent in every aspect that guides must have. The guide will help you in emergencies; first aid will be provided by a trained guide (LHT provides well-trained and licensed holder guides only). Sometimes, unexpected things happen in the Himalayas. In such a case, the guide will manage your food accommodation for extra days (Usually you need to pay extra, depending on company policy).

Porter is the hero for achieving your destination at Everest Base Camp. If you are alone, it’s really hard for you to carry your things and walk at the high altitude of Everest. It’s better for your health, safety, and successful trip; otherwise, your dream might be incomplete. It’s healthier for you to hire a guide and porter, and you are contributing to some employment.

2. Do not fly a drone or UAV (unmanned Aerial Vehicle).

Flying a drone in the sky of Everest is Strictly prohibited. It is considered a serious crime. You must have permission from the Department of Tourism, Ministry of Home Affairs, and Civil Aviation Authority Nepal. However, if you are found flying a drone without due permission, you shall be considered Illegal and shall be punished per the prevailing civil aviation rules. Furthermore, if you are a professional photographer, you must have permission from the mentioned governmental organization or local authority. Take a permit, capture your memories, and start writing your stories about your lifetime experience in Everest.

3. Respect culture, sherpa, and other religions during the trek

Nepal is a diverse country in terms of culture and nature, and it has many religious activities for different ethnic groups. Nepal is a country that has never been in any war due to religion. We respect every culture, tradition, and person from around the globe. However, some foreigners are trying to promote their religion and are forced to become their followers; the government will punish such personalities. For instance, Two Korean people are now behind bars because they walked into every door and asked to join their religion by promoting and giving some offer.

Sherpa people are known as the guardians of the Himalayas. They have many Mantras written over the large stones termed Manistones and monasteries on the way. The best examples are Mani stones (Stones covered with Mantras ), Small monasteries, and Buddhist monuments. If you try to disrespect religious things, you’ll get punished by the local authority and might never be allowed to trek in Everest. Respect sherpa people cause they are the ones who is saving the mighty Everest from many aspects.

4. Do not kill and harm any animals.

Every Sherpa person follows lord buddha. 100% of the Sherpa people engaged in Buddhist activities. The world’s highest Buddhist monastery is located in Tengboche (3,860 m).In the Buddhist religion killing and harming any kind of animal by a person is termed as a sinner. They do not kill any animal as their food. So, Do not try to kill any kind of living organisms on Everest. If possible, do not eat meat also (Avoiding eating meat is the best way to avoid altitude sickness).  If you are found attending such activities you’ll be subjected to punishment by local authorities.

In addition, attends the ritual ceremony of the Tengboche monastery. Everyone who trekked to Everest believes that attending this ceremony will give you a positive vibe, purify your soul, and releases tiredness. However, Those who set their journey to Everest top must take part in a ritual ceremony in this monastery otherwise they are not allowed to climb because Everest is considered a god.

5. Keep the Trekking Routes clean and ask before taking a photo

Eco-friendly trekking is the most essential part while in Everest Trekking and for that every trekkers, company, and local communities are responsible. There had been conducting a cleaning program of Everest routes for over a decade. But if you become more conscious about cleaning the routes by yourself then the budget for cleaning can be used in improving the route.

The environment is everything, let’s put our hands together for a clean, and clear environment on Everest. Please do not drop any kind of trash on the way. In every 100 meters or 50 meters, a Dust bin is kept, where you can dispose of your trash. If possible avoid using plastics.

Before taking a photo along the way, please ask the guide or local people if they are allowed or not. For example, some monuments, some items, animals, and architecture are strictly prohibited to take photos.

REMEMBER,  YOU ARE HERE FOR YOUR WONDERFUL HOLIDAYS !!!!!! PLEASE DO NOT SPOIL IT BY NOT FOLLOWING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS CONDUCTED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF NEPAL AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES. In contrast, In every Himalayas of Nepal, these rules and regulations are applied.
