7 Days Everest Base Camp Trek Itinerary
A quick Everest trek starts from the scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the gateway of Everest. After reaching Lukla we will start our trek to Everest. Lukla is a beautiful hall Himalayan town including Rai and Sherpa people. Lukla airport is also known as the adrenaline airport for landing and takeoff.
We start our trek following the footprints of legendary Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. 7 days Everest Base Camp Trek route traces us through the beautiful Sherpa village, Cheplung and ghat, suspension bridges, Mani Stones and praying wheels, etc. The first night for the Everest base camp short trek will be at Monjo.
We ascend towards Namche Bazaar also known as the capital of the Sherpa people. Today we will follow the Dudh Koshi river and the jungle of Sagarmatha National park. As we ascend we will pass through the suspension bridges over the roaring Dudh Kosi with viewing the beautiful waterfall and the introductory view of Kongde Ri (6,187 m) with many other snow-capped mountains.
We take our Sagarmatha national park and trekking permit at Jorsalle to get access to the Short Everest Base camp trek. After passing Hillary bridge we will climb to reach Namche Bazar. During the climb to Namche, we will also get a perfect first view of Mt. Everest.
Namche Bazar welcomes you with the large praying wheels and the beautiful gate full of the art of the Buddhist and Sherpa culture. Namche Bazar is the perfect place for exploring Sherpa, Tibetan culture, and tradition with lots of the history of the Everest region.
Namche Bazar is a popular tourist hub and a perfect place to spend a night. Even being rural and untouched by any road transportation you can get anything you want in Namche Bazar.
During the 7 days Everest Base Camp trek, after Spending the night at Namche, we will walk towards the holy village called Tengboche which has one of the oldest monasteries and the world’s highest monastery.
During the trial, you can see the spectacular view of the world’s highest mountain Mt. Everest (8,848 m) along with Lhotse (8,516 m), Nuptse (7,861 m), Pumori (7,161 m), Tabuche (6,542 m), Amadablam (6,812), Thamserku (6,623 m) and many more.

As we ascend upwards you have to maintain yourself for the high altitude. Drink more water, eat veggies, and keep motivated every day to climb high and sleep low.
After passing Dingboche we have to cross one of the highest passes, the Thuk-la pass (4,940 m). This day might be a hard day for you cause we have to climb to high altitudes. At the top of the Thukla pass you can, there are lots of shrines dedicated to those who lost their life on Everest.
Also from the top of the Thuk-la pass, you’ll have an amazing view of panoramas of the mountains surrounding. The view cannot be explained by words, it’s just amazing.
On the last day, our trek starts from Lobuche (6,119 m) which is located just side of the Khumbu glacier. Passing through the stones and the ice guide will lead us towards Everest base camp. At Gorakshep, we will have our breakfast and then leave our backpacks and ascend towards Everest Base camp.
Today is a special day for us, in the morning you can capture the breathtaking view of stars and sunrise above Everest.
During the 7 days Everest Base Camp Trek, you can see all the highest peaks and mountains of the Everest region like Lobuche east, Lobuche west, Khubtse, Nuptse, Lhotse, Everest, Pumori, Amadublum, and many more from its closest point. The itinerary or trek duration could be changed or modified as per your requirements, interest, and length of your stay in our country Nepal. There are many disturbing factors such as weather, and politics; transportation may be the main reason to make changes in itineraries that are beyond our control.
The cost of the trip will be according to luxury, standard, and quality of hotel and lodge during the trek, star hotel in Kathmandu, experienced and language guide with porter, food and beverage, group size, duration and date of travel, and you’re timing and demand.

About flight Cancellation:
Regarding Lukla flight in Tenzing Hilary airport, it is one of the most extreme and thrilling airports in the world. Mostly there is use twin-otter planes as the means of air transportation in the Nepalese sky.
The flight schedule is canceled and changes from time to time due to poor visibility, weather and climatic condition, and many other technical problems. So there is no guarantee for the flight to Lukla.
In case the flight is canceled and there is limited time for trekkers, they can charter a helicopter which will charge extra. Otherwise, wait in Kathmandu till the next day for the proper flight. If this is not possible too then we will provide an alternative trek to Annapurna Base Camp or any trip chosen by you.
Life Himalaya Trekking will provide on-time arrival and departure but in case of flight cancellation, you have to pay the cost of transportation yourself. Also, if you desire to stay in Kathmandu and wait the next day for a flight to Lukla you have to pay the cost of food & beverage as well as accommodation yourself.
Helicopter Return from Gorakshep (EBC) to Lukla to Kathmandu:
The trekkers have a choice of both Helicopter and Normal flight via Twin-otter. In 7 days Everest Base Camp trek there is a direct flight via Helicopter from Gorakshep to Kathmandu. There should be above three people required for a direct flight to Kathmandu, if there are less than three people he/she should pay a Single supplementary.
Trekkers can also take a Helicopter flight from Gorakshep to Lukla and Lukla to Kathmandu via normal flight who doesn’t want to pay a single supplementary.
We Life Himalaya Trekking Pvt. Ltd recommends trekkers to direct flight back from Gorakshep to Kathmandu via Helicopter because flight schedule is canceled and change from time to time due to poor visibility, weather, and climatic condition so there is no guarantee for the normal flight on Lukla.
But, in the case of a Helicopter, there is no chance of cancellation and you can arrive at your one time at a certain destination.
Single Supplementary:
The trekkers can also book a private trip to the Everest Base Camp Trek as per their demand and availability. In 7 days Everest Base Camp trek there is a direct flight via Helicopter from Gorakshep to Kathmandu.
There should be above three people required for a direct flight to Kathmandu, if there are less than three people he/she should pay a Single supplementary.
If you want to trek to EBC behind March-May and September-November months you have to pay a single supplementary. However, if there are more than three people or groups the single supplement will not apply.
Further Information:
The trekkers should have to walk 6-7 hours per day which will lead you to the Everest base camp. We Life Himalaya Trekking will provide a Government certified guide with an experienced porter and helper.
The trekkers must have some knowledge about the climatic conditions before trekking to EBC, and knowledge of proper and suitable equipment, clothes, and shoes, if not our representative or guide will provide all the necessary information.
The trekkers must carry less baggage so that they could easily carry during the high Himalayas walk as well the porter will carry a maximum of 20 kg baggage.
