Overview of Arun Valley Trekking
Arun Valley Trek offers the chance to witness a number of other significant views of Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Amadablam, Mt. Thamserku and many other similar mountains. Rai, Sherpa and Limbu community and culture can be enjoyed on the route. Arun Valley is blessed with an incredible diversity of natural beauty and culture.
The Arun Valley trek also provides opportunity to witness Mt. Makalu and Mt. Everest from a close range. The trek requires stamina and fitness to fully appreciate the beauty of the region.
The Arun valley is located between Sagarmatha National Park and Makalu Barun National Park in the Sankhuwasava district; it is the deepest valley of the world and is pulled out between the highest peak of the world Mt. Everest.
Arun Valley Trek descends to the deep gorge of the stunning Arun Valley. The Arun Valley is lush, green oasis; rich in bird life and first few days provide a captivating distinction to high mountain scape as we approach Mera. From Panch Pokhari track descends to Hunku River, a complete rough country trail.
The views along this section are superb. Towards the east is the Kanchenjunga and Jannu. To the north, the views of Hunku and Hongu dominate.
The trail continues to Thangnag (4366m) from where we move to Khare (5108m) where we establish the base cam leading to Mera La (5415m). Our return will take us south, down to the Hunku Drangka before turning west to cross the Zattrawa La to the mountain airstrip at Lukla. From here we will fly back to Kathmandu the following day to a remarkable end.

Fly from Kathmandu to Biratnagar.
Today we fly from Kathmandu to Biratnagar. Then we drive by bus to Hille observing all around the amazing sceneries of plain land. Hille is a Tibetan community where we will stay overnight.

Trek from Hille to Mangmaya Khola.
We move on from Hille, we will have a long day hiking path to reach Mangmaya Khola. Reaching our destination today.

Wildlife Trek to Arun Valley.
Today we move ahead of the Mangmaya Khola which is enormous region for watching bird, monkeys and other wild animals. And, moving down you can feel breezy weather throughout the trek which gives you a sense of beauty of Arun valley.

Trek Down to Tumlingtar while exploring the Makalu Area.
We will hike downward to Tumlingtar. Tumlingtar is the main entranceway to the Makalu area that stretches diagonally to a wide plateau near the meeting point of the Arun River and Sabha Khola.

Trekking Along the Arun River From Tumlingtar to Kartike.
From Tumlingtar, we descend down passing fields to reach Kumal Gaon, on the edge of a broad plateau. We walk alongside the Arun River traversing bridge to the village of Bheteni. We walk all the way through the sub tropical forest, the path moves further to the south along the bank of Arun via a chain of small Chettri, Rai and Brahman villages. After that, we will reach a vivacious village Kartike where we set our camp.

Trek Along the Arun Koshi to Gothey Bazaar.
Today, we pass through the fields and then walk among terraced rice pastures on the coast of the Arun Koshi; in due course we will reach the petite village of Balawa Besi (3200m). We will see the first glance of the verdant Arun valley. Then the moves along the north shore of the Irkhuwa Khola all the way through a steamy scenery of rice porches and banana farms to Gothey Bazaar.

Trek Through Tendor and Tallo Phedi.
Today, we will walk through the villages of Tendor and Tallo Phedi where we will witness slate-roofed houses and thick forest. Our path move further, following the bottom of the Irkhuwa valley, crossing the river on a shaky bamboo bridge. Then we take the path moving over the Sanu Khola to Phedi.

Trek to Thulo Fokte.
Today we move toward the village of Thulo Fokte lying at an elevation of 2140m. Crossing temperate stone path, we will climb up to the forest of birch, oak, rhododendron and more we will arrive at tiny stone village of Gurase.

Trek from Gurase to Sanam.
Today, we move further ahead from Gurase and pass through a rhododendron forest spotted with stupas and Mani walls. Passing the region surrounded by fir and hemlock forests and is flourished with birds and wild lives, we will then come across the hillside and all the way through the damp forest to Sanam.

Trek from Sanam to Bung.
Leaving Sanam, we move down via the forest of rhododendron, oaks and pines, we will reach the forested valley further on from Gudel (1900m). It is an outstanding Rai valley of whitewashed houses. The main track drops passing a muddle of rice, soybean and millet terraces to reach the village of Bung.

Trek from Bung to Gaikharka.
Today, from Bung we will pass Najindingma village which lies at an altitude of 2650m. We will see the area of grassland and damp forests, we will reach Gaikharka. We’ll have amazing views of grassy terraces and speckled farmhouses.

Trek from Gaikharka to Sibuje.
Trekking forward from Gaikharka we pass via a moist, ferny jungle, we witness two stunning waterfalls and the track begins to rise vertically to the valley of Sibuje, also recognized as Vasme and Chatuk.

Fly and travel back to Kathmandu.
