Yala peak and Ganja la pass trekking is a newly designed trekking destination in the Langtang region of Nepal. This fascinating destination is surrounded by the mighty Himalayas range and high glaciers is the perfect trekking destination for those who seek to enjoy the classic trekking route into the adventurous trekking route of Nepal.

Yala peak (5732m) is a simple peak climbing destination with exotic trekking and climbing route whereas Ganga La Pass (5120m), the highest pass in the Langtang region flourished with natural beauty and Himalayan surroundings.

Yala Peak and Ganga la pass trek situated at the north of Kathmandu valley into Langtang region is best for the trekkers who wish to commence the small peak of Nepal and enjoy the ultimate Himalaya surrounding of Langtang region. This fascinating trek starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu (1360m) all the way to Syabrubesi (2134m) and then ascends towards the high land snow-covered region of Langtang.

On our trail, we pass through the beautiful settlement village of Tamang people and the entire wilderness flourished with natural and cultural beauty. Commence this fascinating trek climbing peaks above 5000m and enjoy the exotic serene from the height of the Himalayas of Nepal.

Yala Peak and Ganjala Pass Trekking Itinerary

Today is your first day in land of Himalayas, Nepal. Your wonderful time started upon your Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Our representative will warmly welcome and receive you at the Airport and transfer with warm greetings. Then you will be easy transfer towards your respective hotels with our private vehicle as per your group size.  In the evening, you will be introduce with your trekking and climbing guide and discuss about upcoming program in short at Life Himalaya office in Thamel. Overnight stay at 3 star rated Hotel in Kathmandu.

Our first day of trip starts with an early drive to our trek starting point at Syabrubeshi. Syabrubeshi is also known as gateway to Langtang region trek. The road takes us via north-west part of Kathmandu valley following beautiful scenery and traditional village along the route. En-route we would able to witness the superb panorama of the Himalayas, including the Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and Langtang ranges. After having quick lunch at Trishuli or Kalikasthan we move further towards the traditional village of Syabrubeshi. Overnight stay at teahouse in Syabrubeshi.

Today is the first day of our trekking in the land of LAngtang region. Our day begins after the breakfast at teahouse. We start our trek along with the Bhote Koshi River and trail passes through ups and down hills simultaneously through the dense rhododendron and oak forest. Then we cross the bridge over Langtang khola and ascend on a steep trial towards the Rimche village. After having lunch our trial lead us towards the Lama Hotel. En-route to Lama Hotel if you are lucky enough you might see the abundant wildlife such as Red Panda, Himalayan black bear, etc. Overnight stay at Lama Hotel.

Today we continue our day after having breakfast at Lama Hotel. Our trek continues ascending from Lama Hotel enjoying the mountain land along with the natural beauty of Langtang region. Then we reach the green meadows of Ghore Tabela. After having lunch here we beings our trek to see the first occasional sights of pure white Mt. Langtang Lirung and its ranges. Our trail continues to climb up the widening valley, passing a few temporary settlements of Tamang, old Buddhist monasteries to reach the beautiful Langtang village- headquarter of the Langtang National Park. Overnight at teahouse in Langtang village.

After breakfast, we start our journey following the gradual uphill trial through small villages and yak meadows. Then we trek through typical village of Mundu and Singdum along the way. Then we will be walking along with numerous Yaks grazing lands, small streams and rubble, water mills, prayer flags, chortens, with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them. We also pass by the largest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with prayers mantras written on them. Kyanjin Gompa is an oldest Buddhist monastery of the Langtang valley. Overnight stay at teahouse in Kyanjin Gompa.

Today we stop at Kyanjin Gompa to ensure proper altitude acclimatization and staying active on a high altitude trek. After a late breakfast, we trek uphill towards the Tserko RI for the spectacular 360 degree panoramic view of Langtang ranges along with other mighty of peaks. Then we back to Kyanjin Gompa by late afternoon and explore the beautiful Buddhist monasteries around there. We also visit a traditional yak cheese factory, where yak cheeses are manufactured by hand. Overnight stay at teahouse in Kyanjin Gompa.

After a late breakfast, we trek uphill towards the same route we already trek yesterday since there is no other route to climb up to Yala peak. We will also check all the necessary climbing gear and equipment’s and start our trek towards the Yala Peak Base Camp. We slowly ascend upwards following a fairly pleasant snowy trial towards the Yala Peak base camp. We will customize a special climbing session (pre-climbing training) before climbing towards Yala Peak; however Yala peak is not a technical peak but it is very easy to climb. We will go over some climbing basic training, climbing skills from our highly experienced climbing guides to summit Yala Peak safely and successfully. Overnight stay at tented camp in Yala peak Base Camp.

Today is the adventurous, long and most important day of our trip to Yala peak climbing. Today we prepare for our long awaited adventure day to attempt to summit a Yala peak.  We start our day very early in the morning with an amazing scramble ascend along with a short rock steps, glacier, snow head walls and rocky ridge. With a hard work, you will stand on the summit of wonderful Yala peak blessings you with glorious views of Himalayan panoramas. Collecting lifetime experience snapshot pictures with the Himalayan panorama, we slowly descend down towards base camp. Then we collect all the remaining equipments and gears and enjoy some foods and meals and trek all the way towards the Kyanjin Gompa. Overnight stay at teahouse in Kyanjin Gompa.

After a long and hard summit towards Yala Peak, this day is reserved day for your rest. There is no such guarantee that we will have favorable weather on our planned day for the peak summit so, this day is set aside as a contingency. If weather becomes exceptionally unfavorable we wisely have to postpone the program. In case we are unable to summit the peak on the desired day due to bad weather conditions so, then day is reserved taking such kinds of risk in our adventurous journey. Also, your health and body request rest during high altitude trek. Overnight stay at teahouse in Kyanjin Gompa.

After having proper rest, our day begins with the breakfast at teahouse. We slowly continue our trek and cross the Langtang River and move towards Chhoyna. From here you may not see any villages and human settlement. The trial goes on ascending and the area is covered with littlie natural vegetation. Since, we are already in high altitude it may take longer time to walk through snowy path. Sine there are no available of teahouse, we need to stay in camp. If you want to trek up to Chusangma (Camp) you may trek concerning your trek guide however, it depends upon your walk. Overnight stay at tented camp in Negang.

Today is tough, long and exiting day where we will be crossing the great adventurous Ganja-La pass. Our challenging day begins after having breakfast at tented camp prepared by our staffs. The trial leads to steep-up and then passes through the snowy trials to cross the adventurous Ganja-La pass of the Langtang region. We slowly pass through Ganjala Phedi and ascend towards High Camp following the glaciers all the way. On reaching top of Ganja-la, we are rewarded with the amazing views of mountains like Yala Peak, Dorje Hoimal, Naya Kang peak, Langtang Lirung, Urking Kaanggari and mighty of peaks. Ganja-La pass is coveres with snow almost throughout the year.Finally we cross Ganja-La Pass and trials leads us through crevasses and rocky chunks towards the Keldang via Yangri Kharka. Overnight stay at tented camp in Keldang.

After having delicious breakfast prepared by our staff, we descend following the prominent ridge line. After packing all the equipments and gears we slowly move forwards. We will walk along with the amazing view of Himalayas and forest, ridges and grassland all the way towards Dhukpa. Overnight stay at teahouse in Dhukpa.

Today our day begins after having breakfast at teahouse. Our trekking trial descends through pine and Rhododendron forest and lush green vegetation all the way to Tarkeghyang which beautiful tiny settlement of Helambu region.On your arrival at Tarkeghyang, we visit the oldest Buddhist monastery and the popular Sherpa’s villages. We get an opportunity to experience the Sherpa’s culture, traditions and their friendly and cheerful natured hospitality. Overnight stay at teahouse in Tarkeghyang.

After having breakfast, we start our day slowly begins through the flat landscape following the beautiful forest of Rhododendron. Then we head towards the beautiful of Parachin and Ghangyul. Then we descend following the forest, streams and naturally exiting geographical variation towards another beautiful village of Sermanthang. Sermanthang is a pretty Sherpa village popular as oldest and ancient monasteries. After enjoying our lunch at Sermanthang, we descend towards the beautiful village of Kakani. Kakani is a small village situated on the top hill with suburb panoramic views of Himalayas. Overnight stay at teahouse in Kakani.

Today is the last day of our trekking. After enjoying our breakfast, we start to descend down towards the Dubachaur village. The trial mostly takes us downhill via paddy fields until we reach the bank of Indrawoti River. Then we cross the small river before we reach the Melamchi Pul Bazaar. After enjoying our lunch at Melamchi Pul Bazaar we drive to Kathmandu valley which takes approximately 3-4 hours’ drive. On your Arrival at Bus station at Kathmandu you will be easy transfer towards your respective hotel. At evening, you have a farewell dinner hosted by Life Himalaya Trekking in a typical Nepalese Restaurant along with Nepalese traditional dance to celebrate the successful completion of our journey. Overnight stay at 3 star rated Hotel in Kathmandu.

Our adventurous journey ends today. Our representatives will easy transfer to you towards the International airport three hours before your flight schedule with a warm greetings and hospitality hopping you to see next time in Nepal. If you have more time in Nepal, we can also organize some additional activities like Mt. Everest Mountain Flight, Bungee jumping, Paragliding, Jungle safari and famous cities tours that you are interested in.
