Term and conditions for trekking and climbing with Life Himalaya Trekking Company registered to have registration number 147491/072/073 and tourism license number 2069. These booking terms and conditions are very important for a legally binding contract between you and Life Himalaya Trekking. It is extremely important to read and understand these terms and conditions.

Important note:

These terms and conditions are strictly applied from the booking date. For third-party booking, these terms and conditions do not apply, but their terms and conditions are applied. So for security, please read their terms and condition.

Booking and payment policy:  For the trek booking process you must deposit 20% p/p and for the peak climbing and expedition must pay 30% of the total trip amount at the time of booking. The deposit is non-refundable this will apply for all types of trip booking with Life Himalaya trekking.

We also need a scanned copy of your passports and passport-size photos. During the payment bank service charge should be paid by the client at the time of deposit. You must pay the remaining amount at our head office or representative, before starting your trip. Life Himalaya has the full right to cancel your trip if you do not clear your remaining amount upon your arrival.

Paying Methods for Deposit

  • For all the payment methods, online or  A/C bank transfers will charge an extra 4% of the total payment and be applicable to the guests.
  • For PayPal and other payment gateways, the clients have to pay for the service / extra charges of the payment gateways other than the trek deposit.

We started the online payment system on our website on 1st Jan 2018, where you can deposit the payment amount directly in our bank account. It is a secured payment system provided by our bank in Nepal. It is easy to pay as well as cancel. Pay online

Last-minute Booking: Life Himalaya Team will accept last-minute booing for any Nepal trips but for Last minute bookings, you must pay full trip amounts during the booking process.

Trip Cancellation and refund:  If you cancel any of your trips that have been booked with us then you must send us cancellation documentation or e-mail. If you pay the full amount before the trip then the following conditions will be applied during cancellation.

For Tour, Trekking, and Hiking:- 

  • 90% will be refunded of your total payment, 30 days before trip departure.
  • 70% will be refunded of your total payment, 15-30 days before trip departure.
  • 50% will be refunded of your total payment, 7-15 days before trip departure.
  • No refund, 7 days or less before trip departure

Expedition and Peak climbing:-

  • 50 % will be refunded of your total payment, 6 weeks before trip departure.
  • 30 % will be refunded of your total payment, 3 weeks before trip departure.
  • No refund, 3 weeks or less before trek departure.

Incomplete Trip: The paid amount will not refund if you leave your trip for any reason and also for unused accommodation, meals, and services.

Flight delays and Change in Itinerary: The itinerary and flight can be changed because of unexpected obstacles like war, strikes, natural disasters, unfavorable climates, etc. In these situations, the extra cost should be paid by clients.

Nepal Passport and Visas: All clients must have a legal passport and Visa which is valid up to 6 months from the issued date. Visa will be issued upon your arrival at Kathmandu international airport and all entry points of Nepal. The cost of a Visa is the client’s responsibility.

Responsibility: Providing you with the best service is our main motto. So we will carry out our responsibility for making your trip enjoyable and unforgettable.

Affecting factors: We will do our best for your comfort during your trek but it is important to understand that Himalayan regions cannot afford facilities like the ones you might be accustomed to in your countries. Weather is another important and sometimes random factor that directly affects comfort on your journey. Hence, patience and understanding, passion for life, eagerness, and proper preparation are all very important personal qualities that you must bring with you.

Personal belongings: The trip leader and staffs do their best to keep safe your personal stuff. But if in case of loss of your personal belongings our company will not be responsible for your loss.

Guaranteed Trip Departure:  If you book with us then your trip departure will not change even if the number of groups size decrease. We will guarantee your trip departure.

Travel Insurance:  Before joining our trips you must have your insurance. The insurance must include medical coverage, air ambulance, and helicopter rescue services up to 6000 m. If you do not have any insurance then you are not allowed to join any of our trips.

If you want to get travel/trekking insurance with us (life Himalaya trekking) or covered on the trek package please contact us. 14 days of travel insurance cost 160 USD covering helicopter rescue up to 5500m.

If in case, your insurance company didn’t pay during your emergency rescue; Life Himalaya will not be responsible. So, you have to pay all the charges yourself to the rescue helicopter company.  

Complaints: If you want to complain about our trip leaders, guide and staff, you can and Life Himalaya will seriously take further strong action according to your complaints.
