Ruby Valley Trek is one of the hidden heavens in the Himalayas of Nepal. Although close to both Kathmandu and Pokhara, Ruby Valley has remained a newly explored trekking trail in the Ganesh Himal region of Nepal. Ruby valley treks are concealed between the Langtang National Park and the Manaslu Conservation Areas. Ruby valley trek is for those adventure seekers who want to trek in a less crowded region and explore the remote area in the Himalayas of Nepal. This fascinating trekking destination offers wilderness adventure and a real taste of the Himalayas including Mt. Manaslu, Langtang, Ganesh Himal ranges, Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Dorje Lakpa, Machhapuchhre, and other mighty peaks.
Ruby Valley trek has gained popularity among trekkers because this region is off-the-beaten trekking routes as well less crowded compared to popular trekking routes of Annapurna and Everest region. Ruby Valley trek is also known as Ganesh Himal region trek offers a golden opportunity to explore wildflower flourish, lush green valleys, geographical diversity, Rhododendron and pine forests, cultural and biological diversity, tranquil landscapes, flora and fauna, snow-capped mountains, beautiful waterfalls, terraced farms, primitive lifestyle, culture and religion of Tamang, Gurung and Ghale tribes and so on. Since Ruby valley trekking is a new trekking trail in Nepal, lodges and teahouses have not been developed yet, however; homestays are the main mode of accommodation which will allow the real taste and firsthand experience of Nepalese rural lifestyle and culture. Ruby Valley Trek- 12 Days Itinerary
Welcome to the Land of Himalayas, Nepal. Our representative happily welcomes you at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu upon your arrival with warm greetings. Then we will easy transfer towards your respective hotel with our private vehicle as per your group size. In evening, you will be introduced with your trek guide and trip briefing session in short at our office and had a welcome dinner hosted by Life Himalaya Trekking at typical Nepalese Restaurant. Today we spend your day in Kathmandu after your long flight from home countries. Our day starts after having breakfast for sightseeing tour along with a city guide around Kathmandu which are enlisted in World Heritage Sites in UNISCO including Pashupatinath Temple, Buddhanath Sputa, Swyambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) and Kathmandu Durbar square. In evening, you will have a briefing and orientation program where your trekking guide will provide you a brief information regarding trip and make a trek preparation. After breakfast we pick you at hotel early in the morning and transfer to Bus Station at Bus Park. It takes about 7-8 hours’ drive passes through Trishuli Bazaar, Ramche gaon and Dhunche Bazaar to reach Shyabrubesi by public vehicle or a private four wheel land cruiser from Kathmandu. The narrow and curvy roads with amazing landscape along the way makes a good and adventurous start of the journey. Shyabrubesi is the gate way of Langtang region and Ganesh Himal region trek. It is a small Tamang town located on the confluence of the Bhote Koshi and Langtang River. Overnight stay at Teahouse in Shyabrubesi.
Today we start our trek after having breakfast at the teahouse where we stay. A dirt curvy uphill track from Shyabrubesi takes us to Bahun Danda Pass and then trials again takes to the beautiful settlement of Tamang named Gatlang. There is an optional route to Gatlang via Chawatar. Gatlang is a Tamang village with unique customs and religions in a magnificent setting. Just above the village lies Parvati Kunda sacred pond and holy temples, this attracts thousands of pilgrims during the JanaiPurnima festival. Overnight stay at Teahouse in Gatlang.
Today our day starts with breakfast. Today our trial passes through pine and Rhododendron forest before reaching Yuri Kharka. After having lunch at Yuri Kharka we slowly continue our trek towards the Khurpu Bhanjyang. From here, we descend to the Somdong River which is also a border between Dhanding and Rasuwa district. We climb from here, passing through beautiful valleys to watch beautiful waterfall of Chukarma. You may also get a chance to visit a sprawling mining compound, but nowadays it is no longer in operation. Overnightstay at teahouse in Somdang.
Today we start our trek early in the morning after having breakfast. Then we start our trek with a packed lunch since there no any teahouses before pansan La pass. Pansan Kharka is a view point with a board panorama of the snowcapped mountains such as Manaslu and Ganesh Himal ranges lies in the southwest of Somdang village. The large field is also a location for camping and place to enjoy breathtaking scenery. After passing the adventurous Pansan La pass, the trial then descends to a village named Tipling, Tipling is very famous and rich in its own Tamang culture, customs, festivals, traditions and their primitive lifestyles. We spend our overnight at Home stay in Tipling.
Today is the shot day trek in the land of Himalayas. We start our trek after having our breakfast and slowly descend towards the Adha Khola. Then we ascend to the sister villages named Shertung and the Chalise gaon. Both of the villages are very famous with its overlooking fertile fields, river valleys, and abundant fields. Shertung is mainly inhabited by Tamang people. This place is also named as ‘place of God’. Similarly, Chalish gaon is a mixed settlement inhabited by Gurung, Ghale, and Kami. However, both villages consist of hospitable people with unique customs, traditions, craftsmanship and so on. Today there is an option day that depends upon your walk where you stay in Sertung or Chalise gaon. Overnight stay at Homestay.
Today we enjoy the natural hot spring which is near to Chalise gaon. After enjoying we back for a breakfast. Then our trek start passing through beautiful landscape towards the Mani Danda, from where we can seek the breathtaking views of Ganesh Himal ranges mountain views. Then our trek continues passing Deuldanda, Gobregaon, Chhapdanda. Then we slowly trek through the Borang and trek to the Ukhum. After having lunch at Ukhum our trek continues to Lishne jungle. Crossing many suspension bridges our trial takes us to Chapchyat village and finally towards the village of Jharlang (Ungal). It is one of the beautiful Tamang village with a best and panoramic Mountain View point of this area. Overnight stay at Home stay in Jharlang.
After having breakfast our trek continues all the way down to Jharklang Phedi. Our trial passes through many suspension bridges, terraced paddy and rice fields, and beautiful landscapes. With the breathtaking view of Ganesh Himal, Ankhu Khola River and Ri village on the opposite side we reach at Darkha gaon via Singgang village. After having lunch at Darkha gaon our trek continues towards the beautiful village of Satyedevi. Satyedevi is a beautiful mix culture village inhabited by Brahmins and Tamang. Overnight stay at Homestay in Satyedevi.
Today is the rest day at Satyadevi. Today is the excursion day over GHCF project run by Life Himalaya Trekking at Satyedevi. Tourism is an important sector to the Nepalese economy, and as an organization that has been involved in this sector for over two decades, we believe it is our duty to contribute to the Nepalese society in some way. We contribute 60% of our trip profit to Ganesh Himal Community Foundation; a non-government, nonprofit organization committed to educating and caring for Nepali children orphaned by the devastating Earthquake 2015. After having a breakfast at Satyedevi, we walk about 30 min uphill towards the Bus Station. Then we take a Land cruise of a local bus with bumpy zigzag roads till Trishuli. Then we cross through Battar to reach a Kathmandu. It takes about 7-8 hours’ drive to reach capital city Kathmandu. After reaching there you may have sightseeing over Thamel market and do some shopping or enjoy the rest of the day. Overnight stay at star rated hotel in Kathmandu.
Our adventurous journey in the Land of Himalayas- Nepal ends today. Our representative will transfer you to the International airport three hours before your flight schedule towards your home with a warm greetings and hospitality hopping you to see next time in Nepal. If you have more time in Nepal, we can organize some additional activities like paragliding, bungee jumping, jungle safari and famous cities tours that you are interested in.

Ruby Valley Trek- 12 Days - Essential Information
Our especial trek to Ruby valley starts from Kathmandu. After spending a good day sightseeing around UNISCO’s world heritage sites at Kathmandu valley, we take a short drive towards Shyaprubesi- starting point of the trek. We start our trek with the less beaten trial passes through beautiful terraced farmland towards the traditional Tamang village of Gatlang. Giving continuity to our trek we trek through Parvati Kund to reach Yuri Kharka and descend down to the Somdang. Then we trek towards Chukarma waterfall and ascend gradually towards the adventure Pansan La Pass (3842 m) from where we can see the incredible panoramic views of beautiful valleys and snow-capped mountain ranges including Ganesh Himal, Annapurna, Manaslu and Langtang. The trial then descends to Tipling, a large village of Tamang communities. We continue our trek to follow the trial towards Shertung village ‘a place of Gold’ and heads towards Chalise gaun. After enjoying the natural hot spring to relax our body we continue through several traditional Tamang village Gobre gaon, Borang. We trek passing through dense forest of Rhododendron to reach another popular village of Jharlang. From here we follow a downhill route towards Jharlang Phedi and continue towards the beautiful village of Darkha gaon via Singgang. Then our trial leads towards Satyedevi, from where we take a scenic drive over the bumpy hilly roads towards capital city Kathmandu.
