The Turas Cuarda Manaslu Fixed Group Join 2027 follows a 12 day route around Mount Manaslu, taking trekkers from the lower Budhi Gandaki Valley to high mountain settlements before crossing Larkya La.
Mount Manaslu stands at 8,163 m (26,781 ft). The trail gradually descends from lower hills and river valleys to forests and traditional villages and Tibetan affected settlements before entering higher regions around Samagaun, Samdo and Dharamsala.
Its highest elevation is at Larkya La Pass (5,160m /16,929ft). The route comes into the highest portion on an acclimatisation day at Samagaun (3520m /11,549ft).
This is a great option for a solo traveller, couples or small groups who would like to travel with a group, but not all by themselves and who want to be picked up and dropped off, with permits and guide support. Please check the exact dates and prices for departures in 2027 before booking.

A fixed group trek is one where the trekking company listed specific trek dates and individual travellers sign up for the trek on a specific date. The group does not have to be set up before travelling.
This is great for those traveling alone, since the guide, transportation and other group services are shared. Couples and friends are also welcome to join if they can depart on the same day as the scheduled departure.
The journey is normally pre-arranged. Organising accommodation, transportation and trekking according to the published schedule is made easier to plan flights, leave work, etc.
A fixed group does not imply that each member will walk at the same speed. The walking pace of trekkers can differ, but the group usually walks the same route and follows the same night schedule.
There are some trekking regulations in the Réigiún Manaslu too. Foreign trekkers must have permits and organised trekking support for the restricted section. The relevant documents are usually compiled prior to the expedition.
Who Can Join a Fixed Group?
A fixed group can suit:
The key is that being part of a group doesn’t make the journey any easier. It does require long days of walking and preparation for high altitude.
For those who are looking for a structured and organized Manaslu Circuit trek, but are not interested in forming their own group, joining a fixed trek can prove to be a great convenience. The dates, routes, accommodations and primary trekking arrangements are finalized; the common setup enables travellers to trek with others.
Shared trekking is organised, including guide services, transportation and other group services according to the date of departure. More cost effective that having a private tour, as some aspects of the trek are shared with the group.
Less planning is required because permits, accommodation and the main trekking logistics are arranged in advance. Solo travellers do not necessarily have to form their own group, but can join without a group and meet others along the way.
This tour starts with an acclimatization day at Samagaun (3,520 m /11,549 ft), before moving on to the higher parts. Support is provided throughout the trek in the form of guidance for the routes, pacing, accommodation and other practical issues.
You are walking with a group, so you experience the long walking days and nights in teahouses together. In the more remote areas of the Manaslu Circuit, services and communication are a little restricted; organised support might be helpful.

The trip begins with a road trip from Kathmandu to Machha Khola. The walking part then goes along the Budhi Gandaki Valley in Jagat, Deng, Namrung, Lho and Samagaun.
The trail from Samagaun leads to Samdo and then to Dharamsala and then crosses Larkya La. This pass leads down to Bimthang and then on to Dharapani. The last leg is a long drive home to Kathmandu.
Is é an príomhbhealach ná:
Kathmandu → Machha Khola → Jagat → Deng → Namrung → Lho → Samagaun → Samdo → Dharamsala → Larkya La → Bimthang → Dharapani → Kathmandu
The lower portions of the route are in forests, rivers, cultivated hillsides and villages. Moving up to the higher elevations, there are more alpine areas and yak pasture, slopes and glacial views.

Manaslu Circuit Trek cost for 2027 fixed departure will be confirmed once the company’s fixed departure dates and final package rate is published.
Current market prices are a good indicator when planning. Group joining prices published for 2026 and 2026/27 are significantly different depending on group size, inclusions, transportation and accommodation service level. Current published examples include group joining prices around USD 850 to USD 1,295, while some 2026/27 packages are advertised around USD 895 to USD 995 per person.
A planning cost of about USD 900 to USD 1,200 per person may be considered for a standard 12-day fixed group package on an itinerary similar to the above. The above quoted price is for 2027 and should not be considered the confirmed price of Life Himalaya Trekking.
| Catagóir Costas | Estimated Planning Amount |
| Fixed group package | USD 900 go USD 1,200 |
| Árachas taistil | USD 80 go USD 200+ |
| Sneaiceanna agus deochanna pearsanta | USD 50 go USD 120 |

| Leideanna | Depends on service and group |
| Costais phearsanta | Depends on traveller |
| Eitiltí idirnáisiúnta | Nach n-áirítear |
Final price may vary due to permit fees, transportation, guide/porter fees, accommodation, size of group and other operating costs.
The factors that contribute to the cost are group size, number of days trekking, permits, guides, porters, road transport, accommodation and food.
The cost of the restricted area permit is also a major component. Current government rates list the Manaslu Restricted Area Permit at USD 100 per person per week from September to November and USD 75 per person per week from December to August, with additional daily charges after the first week.
Final 2027 prices may be subject to change and should be verified by checking the current permit schedule prior to booking.

It is a restricted area in Manaslu Circuit. The standard route also goes through protected regions like the Manaslu Conservation Area and Annapurna Conservation Area in the Dharapani direction.
A specific permit package is subject to change and must be determined prior to travel in 2027.

Generally the trekking company arranges the permits. You should present the necessary passport data beforehand and bring the necessary permit documents along on the trek.
Main trekking seasons are from March to May and September to November. Nepal Tourism Board also considers March to May and September to November as the peak season in Manaslu Conservation Area.
But simply comparing the two primary seasons is not an indication of the year-round conditions. The table below is a month-by-month planning guide.
Manaslu Circuit Trek Month by Month
| Mí | Coinníollacha Ginearálta | Trail and Weather Considerations | Larkya La Considerations | Pleanáil Foriomlán |
| Eanáir | Dálaí fuara geimhridh | Snow and freezing temperatures are possible at higher elevations | Snow and ice can make the pass difficult | Better suited to experienced trekkers with suitable winter preparation |
| Feabhra | Still cold, especially at altitude | Lower valleys can be more manageable but high sections remain wintery | Snow conditions can remain serious | Possible with careful planning and suitable equipment |
| Márta | Tosaíonn an t-earrach | Lower areas become warmer and vegetation starts becoming active | Conditions can improve as winter snow decreases | Good month for prepared trekkers |
| aibreán | Mild spring conditions | Generally suitable for long trekking days with good trail conditions | Usually a useful period for planning the pass crossing | Strong month for fixed group departures |
| Bealtaine | Warmer spring conditions | Lower areas become warmer and occasional pre-monsoon weather can appear | Conditions can still be suitable, but weather should be monitored | Good early to mid season option |
| meitheamh | Tosaíonn an monsún | Rain, mud and wet lower trails become more likely | Conditions can become less predictable | Less suitable for a standard fixed departure |
| Iúil | Monsoon | Heavy rainfall and muddy trails are possible | Cloud, rain and trail conditions can affect plans | Generally difficult for the standard circuit |
| Lúnasa | Monsoon | Wet conditions continue and road travel can be affected | High pass conditions depend heavily on weather | Níos lú oiriúnach i gcoitinne |
| Meán Fómhair | Monsoon begins to withdraw | Conditions can improve as the month progresses | Later September can provide better trekking windows | Good later month option if conditions are suitable |
| Deireadh Fómhair | Fómhair | Generally stable trekking period | Good period for planning the high pass crossing | Strong choice for fixed group departures |
| Samhain | Deireadh an fhómhair | Cooler temperatures, especially at higher elevations | Cold conditions increase as the month progresses | Good early to mid-November option |
| Nollaig | Winter begins | Lower sections can remain manageable while higher areas become very cold | Snow and ice can become more common | Indéanta le hullmhúchán ceart don gheimhreadh |
The weather in the Himalayas is always uncertain. The weather can turn rapidly in the high elevations, even in the main seasons. Therefore some flexibility should be left for the fixed group departures for weather and trail conditions.

Deacracht Trek Chuarda Manaslu
The Manaslu Circuit is a difficult trek at high altitudes.
The challenge is due to the multiple days of walking, the altitude gain, the long descents, the variability in terrain and crossing the Larkya La.
The highest point is 5,160 m (16,929 ft). Trekkers stay overnight in Dharamsala, which is at an elevation of 4,450 m (14,600 ft) before they enter into the pass.
A few of the longer days are:
| lá | Bealach | Fad | Am |
| 2 | Machha Khola go Jagat | 22 km | 6 go 7 uair |
| 3 | Jagat go Deng | 19.9 km | 6 go 7 uair |
| 4 | Deng go Namrung | 19.5 km | 6 go 7 uair |
| 5 | Namrung go Lho | 10.5 km | 4 go 5 uair |
| 6 | Lho go Samagaun | 8.5 km | 3 go 4 uair |
| 8 | Samagaun go Samdo | 8 km | 3 go 4 uair |
| 9 | Samdo go Dharamsala | 12 km | 4 go 5 uair |
| 10 | Dharamsala to Bimthang | 24 km | 8 go 9 uair |
| 11 | Bimthang go Dharapani | 18 km | 7 go 8 uair |
Walking regularly, stair training and extended weekend walks can be useful preparation. While experience is helpful, knowing how to trail and be prepared is key.
From Namrung onwards, altitude takes on a greater importance.
| An Cheantar | Airde | Ról sa Siúlóid |
| Machha Khola | 850 m (2,789 ft) | Pointe tosaigh an tsiúil |
| Jagat | 1,340 m (4,396 ft) | Early valley section |
| Deng | 1,860 m (6,102 ft) | Higher valley |
| Namrung | 2,630 m (8,629 ft) | Airde ag méadú |
| Lho | 3,180 m (10,433 ft) | Higher Himalayan section |
| Samagaun | 3,520 m (11,549 ft) | Acclimatization stop |
| Samdo | 3,875 m (12,713 ft) | High altitude settlement |
| Dharamsala | 4,450 m (14,600 ft) | Pre-pass overnight |
| Larkya La | 5,160 m (16,929 ft) | Pointe is airde |
It’s a day for acclimatization at Samagaun, where the trekkers can spend the day at higher elevations before continuing their ascent.
Walk at a slow pace, take plenty of water and advise the guide if symptoms occur, such as headache, dizziness, nausea, unusual tiredness or difficulty walking. It is not acceptable to ignore serious symptoms.
The toughest part of the trek is Larkya La (5,160 m / 16,929 ft), the highest point.
The group normally starts early from Dharamsala. It is a cold ascent to the pass, especially in the mornings and snow and ice can occur at any time of the year.
The track then drops off for a lengthy stretch en route to Bimthang. This descent can be tiring as it follows high elevation climbing and walking which can last several hours.
Trekking poles may be helpful. In snowy or icy conditions, additional equipment may be suggested based on the actual trail conditions by the guide.
Most accommodation is in local teahouses and mountain lodges.
Rooms are typically devoid of frills and may feature twin beds, mattresses, pillows and blankets. The more that the altitude rises, the more basic the facilities are.
Typically the common space for trekkers to eat and relax in the evening is the dining room. In some dining areas, heating might be provided and in some bedrooms, there might be no heating.
The remote location and high elevation of Dharamsala makes it particularly basic. Expecting private bathrooms/hot showers along the way is not realistic. Extra fees may be charged for hot showers, if available.

The Manaslu Circuit is a food mainly based on simple teahouse meals. It is common to find dal bhat readily available and may be a practical option since it contains rice, lentils and vegetables. Other typical foods are noodles, pasta, rice dishes, potatoes, eggs, bread, porridge, soups and momos.
The number of items available for a menu may decrease as the elevation increases, as supplies are more challenging to transport. There are usually vegetarian meals available, but before going on the trip, trekkers with special dietary requirements should communicate this to the agency.
Drinking water needs attention throughout the trek. Any water from a tap, spring, or stream should be treated before you drink it. It is easy to use to take a drinking bottle along with purification tablets or a filter.
Road travel is an important part of this 12 day itinerary.
On the first day, a long drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola. The road becomes rougher as it moves deeper into the mountain region.
The trip to Kathmandu from Dharapani is also long. On the way, it will go through Besisahar and Dumre before reaching Kathmandu.
Travel time may vary, depending on traffic conditions, construction on the roads, rain, landslides, or the condition of local roads. So, it is advisable to avoid having a very close flight schedule with foreign destinations the moment after your return drive.
Cell phone reception is not consistent throughout the Manaslu area.
In some villages, the mobile connectivity of Nepal Telecom and Ncell might be good, but in higher and remote areas, it is weak and sometimes not available.
Teahouses can also be different in terms of Internet access. A few lodges offer Internet access for extra cost, but the speed of connection cannot be guaranteed.
At higher elevations, charging facilities are even more scarce. A portable power bank would be useful for trekkers who use a phone for navigation, photos, or communications.
It is essential that travel insurance also includes coverage for high-altitude trekking up to at least 5160m (16,929ft).
The policy should also include emergency medical treatment and helicopter evacuation if necessary, according to the conditions of the policy.
The area in the upper part of Manaslu is remote and weather and aircraft availability could impact evacuation. Before traveling, make sure to read the insurance policy before assuming that all travel insurance policies cover high-altitude trekking.

Details of inclusions will vary according to the confirmed 2027 package. The permit, teahouse accommodation, guide services and meals during the trek, as well as ground transportation, are all required with the fixed group package.
Depending on the package, porter service can also be provided. Life Himalaya Trekking will arrange the necessary trekking and logistics arrangements as per confirmation of booking.
When paying a deposit, always check the final inclusion list with the price.
Personal expenses normally need to be budgeted separately.
This may include international flights, Nepal visa fees, travel insurance, personal snacks or drinks, personal trekking equipment, extra hot showers, WiFi, internet charges, extra hot showers, tips and expenses due to delays or changes in itinerary beyond the scope of the package.
Care should also be taken with emergency evacuation, as coverage and inclusions differ.
There are trekking trails in Nepal for different levels of fitness, time and type of experience. The Manaslu Circuit is quite unique as it involves a limited trekking region, high elevation, remote villages and a major pass crossing.
The comparison below is for illustrative purposes only and does not prioritize the treks.
| Trek | Approximate Highest Point | Carachtar Tipiciúil | deacracht | Príomh Gné | Fixed Group Consideration |
| Cuaird Manaslu | 5,160 m (16,929 ft) | Remote circuit with high pass | Dúshlánach | Larkya La and Tibetan influenced villages | Useful for travellers wanting an organised high altitude circuit |
| Campa Base Everest | Around 5,364 m (17,598 ft) at Base Camp | Busy teahouse route with Sherpa settlements | Dúshlánach | Everest region and Base Camp | Many organised departures available |
| Ciorcad Annapurna | Thorong La, 5,416 m (17,769 tr) | Long circuit with varied landscapes | Dúshlánach | Thorong La and the Annapurna range | Many itinerary and transport options |
| Campa Bonn Annapurna | 4,130 m (13,550 ft) | Shorter mountain sanctuary trek | Measartha go dúshlánach | Tearmann agus Campa Bonn Annapurna | Suitable for travellers with less available time |
| Gleann Langtang | Around 4,984 m (16,352 ft) for the higher Kyanjin Ri area | Valley trek with shorter access from Kathmandu | Measartha go dúshlánach | Langtang Valley and mountain villages | Easier to combine with a shorter Nepal trip |
| Cnoc Ghorepani Poon | Timpeall 3,210 m (10,531 troigh) | Short hill and mountain trek | Measartha | Sunrise viewpoint and Gurung villages | Suitable for shorter group departures |
The Everest Base Camp route is tightly linked to the Khumbu and Sherpa communities; the Manaslu route passes through the Budhi Gandaki Valley and Tibetan cultural influences are present in villages along the route.
The Annapurna Circuit also traverses a high pass, Thorong La (5,416m /17,769ft). If the name of the mountain region isn’t your biggest concern, but rather simply its high altitude, then this is helpful to compare with Manaslu.
The maximum peak at Annapurna Base Camp is lower than Manaslu and Poon Hill is much lower. While on the Manaslu route, one has to cross the Larkya La, which is a high pass on Manaslu; Langtang offers a high-altitude experience without it.
It really comes down to how much time you have, how well you can prepare and how you like the landscape, plus a love for basic lodging and a preference for a set group structure.

The walk is recommended for those who are not afraid of walking for 5-6 straight days and enjoy a well-planned journey into the Manaslu area.
Bí réidh le haghaidh:
It is best to have done at least one trek before, especially as it comes to the high-altitude part of it, but fitness and preparation are important.

The Manaslu Circuit Trek Fixed Group Join 2027 offers a set schedule for exploring the Manaslu region by providing the main trekking arrangements for the trip, which are shared with other participants.
The 12-day trek starts with a road trip to Machha Khola and then heads down the Budhi Gandaki Valley to the villages, forests and high Himalayan settlements. The trek ends at Samagaun and then continues on to Samdo and Dharamsala. After a steep descent to Bimthang and Dharapani, the highest point of the route is Larkya La (5,160 m /16,929 ft).
The trek is arduous due to the elevation, extended days of walking, roughing-it accommodations and the vagaries of the mountain climate. Many practical arrangements can be made easier by a fixed group, for example permits, accommodation, transportation and guide support.
Please verify the confirmed departure date, final package price, inclusions, permit arrangements and conditions for cancellation prior to booking a 2027 departure. You also need to be sure that your insurance policy includes the entire trekking altitude and evacuation requirements.
Planning to join the Manaslu Circuit Trek in 2027? Please refer to the confirmed fixed departure dates and reserve a place with the trekking team.
