Everest Mani Rimdu Festival Trekking Itinerary
At Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport on fresh arrival, you will be warmly welcomed and received by Life Himalaya Trekking representative. Then you will be transfer to your hotels in the hub of Kathmandu city with our private vehicle. At evening, we will be introduce with your trek guide and discuss about the trip and make the trek preparation. Overnight stay 3 star rated hotel in Kathmandu.
02Our day starts with a morning short flight towards Lukla along with amazing panoramic views of mountain range. On reaching Lukla, we take short refreshment break and meet our porters and crew members for trekking.We starts our first day walk through farm villages, a moderate walk with few short ups overlooking beautiful scenery along the route towards which is located side to Dudh Koshi River. Overnight stay at tea-house in Phakding.

After a morning breakfast, our walk continues crossing bridges over Dudh Koshi River & passing several interesting villages of Toc-Toc, Bhenkar and Monjo we arrive at Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate. From here we walk on the river bed for few hours and cross the suspension bridge to steep uphill to Namche Bazaar- the Sherpa’s capital. Namche is place with facilities of good restaurant, pubs, cyber cafe, post office, and banks. Overnight stay at tea-house in Namche Bazaar.

Namche is the ideal and perfect place for rest with acclimatization day. Before heading higher altitude area, we acclimatize our body where we take a short hike towards Syangboche i.e. Everest View Hotel or walk up on top a hill of Namche for amazing closeup views of Everest, Amadablam and other adjoining peaks,. We also visit the museum, experience Sherpa culture and excursion over Namche. Overnight stay at tea-house in Namche Bazaar.

Our day starts with a short climb on gradual and scenic trail along with glorious views of snow capped peaks with Everest and magnificent Amadablam, After few hours walk, we reach to Imjatse River at Phunki Tenga. Then we start uphill climb into rhododendron and pines forest and slowly our walk leads at scenic spot at Tengboche. Tengboche is the very famous village of Everest region which is renowned for the oldest and biggest Buddhist monasteries with a charming spot beyond our eyes of world beautiful mountains including Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Thamserku. At evening, we observe the local interesting crowd and the festival preparations of Mani Rimdu by the young monks and priests. Today we get up early to catch the surrounding panorama of mountains. This Mani Rimdu festival is one of the most important for the Sherpa community which is held as per the Tibetan Buddhist calendar. Then we choose the best available spot to watch the Mani Rimdu performance inside the monastery complex. You will be engrossed for a full day observing the festival and watching local Sherpa people in their traditional attire performing religious rites and offerings, and taking part in the Mani Rimdu festival. Mani Rimdu Festival follows with a series of masked dances where monks and priests clad in elaborate masks and costumes dramatize the triumph of Buddhism over Bon (an ancient animistic religion sect of Tibet). After an enjoyable moment observing the festival of Sherpa people, our walks leads downhill towards Namche Bazaar. Then we continue our trek following Dudh Koshi River crossing few suspension bridges to reach at Jorsalle. Then we take a short walk to reach beautiful village of Monjo with last short climb to enter Sagarmatha National Park gate. Overnight stay at tea-house in Monjo.

Our morning starts with a short walk towards beautiful village of Phakding. Then we passes through a nice pleasant trail towards Lukla- the trek ending point. We enjoy beautiful landscape, nature, traditional Sherpa villages, prayers flags until our trek ends to Lukla. On reaching Lukla, we celebrate last night dinner at heartland of Everest with fellow trekkers and our porters. Overnight stay at tea-house in Lukla.

From Lukla we take an early possible morning flight to back to Kathmandu city. At Kathmandu Domestic Airport, our representative is ready with our private vehicle to transfers you back to your respective hotels. Rest of the day is free at leisure for you; you may sightseeing over popular places in Kathmandu or do souvenir shopping for your friends & families. In evening, you will have farewell dinner at reputed traditional Nepalese restaurant with cultural dance to celebrate the successful completion of trip. Overnight stay at 3 star hotel in Kathmandu.
